Description
"I heard it's your birthday and you know what that means, we're gonna have a big PARTY with all your friends and there's gonna music and streamers and balloons and punch and dancing and ..." [insert random Pinkie Pie rambling here]Man, Pinkie Pie is too damn cute. I regret nothing. I was pleasantly surprised at how this turned out, but finding a category for it took a while.
My favorite frame is the third one, which incidentally is also the preview image. I can't stop giggling like an idiot. I can almost hear the bouncing sound. All of the animations in the newest Desktop Ponies release only reinforce my belief that Pinkie is the cutest and most adorable of the bunch.
Here's your present, Happy birthday.

*InternationalTCK made a vectored animation of this: Not bad. Not bad at all.

Nope, just pencil and paper. And Photoshop for making it animated.

It's in the 'Motion' workspace. You can automatically convert your layers into animation frames.

Pinkie, if you keep jumping like that you are bound to get extremely exhausted and won't be able to throw a party for all our good chums here.
And don't tell me it's not possible for her to get exhausted! Intro sequence of episode 25! D:<

I think she actually has some sort of springs in her joints. What else could make her bouncing sound? But being exhausted is nothing some candy can't help with.

It's the fact that it was all hand drawn that makes me love this so much.
I just feel that Traditional Media has been losing value with the explosion of Digital Art. Hell, even when I go on EQD and check out the "Drawfriend Stuff" posts they make, any form of traditional art seems to come by rarely, or Digital Art always reins supreme over it.
Not saying that's a bad thing, but I'm much, much more fond of older ways and older stuff.

I know what you mean. To be honest, I wish I could do digital paintings or at least color my stuff properly. Colored pictures are just much more appealing, but I've always worked with pencils in black & white and I have much more fun that way. Just having something physical and unique in your hands that you created and tons of other people like, too, is awesome.

Yeah. I like coloring, but it seems like at times it's just better to do it all in Pencil, or even Pen & Pencil. The problem I have with coloring is determining if it's the right color to use or not, and even if the shade of that color is right or not.
It's that feeling of mistake that puts disappoint in some of my own drawings as well, or if I don't spend enough time doing the drawing as I should... Which comes to why I like looking at drawings more than any form of art. I look at other people's work and try to gain some inspiration from them, but often times it leads to my negative side, which likes to enforce that I can never draw like that.
It sucks, and it happens often D:

Well, how long have you been doing it? I've liked pencil drawings pretty much all my life and began drawing myself in 5th grade art class, so about 8 or 9 years ago. Sure, my first drawings looked horrible, but I found that looking at other people's work helped me figure out some techniques and even find some of my own. It's one of the many things where talent gets you a kick-start, but training and practice makes you much better. I don't want to sound smug or boasting; even I am amazed at what I can produce. Having a lot of references helps - screenshots, photos, other people's art. And yes, I avoid the problem of coloring by just not using any Successes get you up, failures get you down, but giving up should never be an option.

I've only been doing art for about a year now, but it's a rare occasion, like maybe 1 drawing every 2 weeks unless I find some sort of inspiration. I used to draw a good amount from 4th to about early 7th grade, but then completely stopped because I had let gaming completely take over my life. It was already bad enough that I had always stayed home and never hung out with friends every day, gaming just made it so I gained practically no benefit of any sort while alone (Which made my Autism a bit worse, in the sense that it separated me from nearly everyone and had no real social interaction except for with those who also had an Xbox).
I still game a lot to t his day, but have been trying to cut down since this summer, and actually focus on drawing. All my past drawings were gone trying to look for my positive side... The only thing I found was my Art Certificate from 6th grade, just saying that I was the most talented artist in the class lol. I looked at that and said, "Screw it, I know I can do it." and began drawing again. Still having a hard time getting used to it again, but it's much more joyful to do than just gaming.
For some reason, I seem to completely disregard practice and go straight to the main drawing. It's probably because... Well even though this has nothing to do with it, but I never study/practice for tests in school and do fairly well. I basically have that feel that I can do something without any practice, and work from my errors that have come up from past drawings. It makes me more careful towards what I do in a drawing... Sometimes, when I actually remember to be careful lol.

That last paragraph sounds exactly like me. I rarely, if ever, studied for a test in school and I don't have any drawing guides for myself either. I think my eraser sees just as much action as my pencils. Sometimes I feel like I draw every possible line and only erase those that don't fit.
And gaming has drawn my attention away for a long time, too. It still does today, although now it's been mostly replaced by pony art and fanfics and some tv series. I've been experimenting a lot in the recent weeks with my drawings and even almost completely switched the style I'm comfortable with. Ponies, I swear. They change people.

They really do o.O. It's so strange lol. I mean think about it... There's an actual life lesson in some episodes that most don't consider. Then they consider it, and bam, they're all of a sudden a better person.
