He doesn't purposefully be overly dramatic, it's the network telling him to make it more exciting. All he wants to do is fish and for the funding to travel the world he has to be their bitch and make up some suspense.

In short, it's his tendency to be overly dramatic... and a sissy. There. I said it and I feel better for it.

Ehh, I can see where you're coming from. I've heard sissy yelps from Jeremy. But then again I'd yelp too if a 150 pound Wels Catfish with a temper just rounded on me. XD
On the other hand, he does do some pretty ballsy stuff at times. Sitting in a tank of piranhas merits some kinda nerve I'd think.
I'm biast though, I like him quite a lot as a host. Still amusing to see him get slapped about by a fish though. *grin*

I'll spare you my piranhas-aren't-really-all-that-dangerous rant. I will point out that he neglected to mention that people in South America EAT piranha very commonly. I guess they just aren't as scary when you think of them as dinner.

I realise they weren't a threat to him at all. Only seem to attack when there's an open wound or a lot of thrashing about. Even with my knowing that I'd be scared shitless of them.
And yeah. I'd imagine one would be less afraid of a fish you may eat. Although I'd still be weary of a shark even if it were a part of my diet. Then again I'm a touch of a coward when it comes to that sorta thing. xD;

You make a point. People DO eat sharks and sharks can still be pretty scary. If only there were more fresh water sharks... wait no. That wouldn't be a good idea.
