Description
Since someone ask me how I do my digimon, I decided to make a primary tutorial before that to show how I do lineart for both my Digimon and Pokemon submissions.I find since I lack a tablet that hand done lineart is the fastest to do and looks good when shrunk especially.
The only time I use pen tool lineart is if:
a) I want my image to look extremely professional on a large format
b)I want things to look really smooth
Hopefully you get what I'm talking about most of the time here, if not feel free to ask questions.
Btw, the digimon feature is called Duckmon, its an fan design so please don't used it without permission

i found that using the "Paths" tool helps immensely when doing a photoshop/gimp line art.

Yeah, it also makes coloring a breeze, too.

Nice tutorial. I haven't done lineart this way for a while because I have a tablet now, but it's still good to know the methods. For example, I never knew about the Desaturate option. O_o I'll have to try this method again someday and keep your tutorial in mind!

thanks ^.^ I only figured out the desaturate thing once while experimenting. Originally I would put the image as greyscale than back to color.

With that tutorial I think you gave away a digimon design.

yeah I did xP luckily duckmon is only a minor digimon character with no established line of evolution (though I have determined its a rookie digimon).

Bokomon always did that to Neimon whenever he said something ridiculous, which is often.
