Baddest of the Disney villains!
Kinda bummed the BOOM! Disney series ended before we could have had a crossover with this guy as the Big Bad.

Was he announced as the villain? And did he ever reappeared in the comics somehow?
Haven't read the comics in a while, since I haven't seen them here in Canada.:/ I really miss that guy, he deserves more attention.

Unfortunately, no.
The final issue of the Ducktales BOOM! series featured him on the cover for a cameo along with a bunch of other villains, but he never appeared in the series. It was just an idea I had that I think would have really worked.
It was cool having Scrooge show up in Darkwing Duck along with the nephews, though. They purchased a villainous company that Darkwing stopped. Scrooge put Launchpad in control of the company and that was the last I saw of them.
In other bad news, Marvel is sitting on the property and hasn't published anything from the property yet.

I saw that cover and got all exited. I don't understand why he gets so rejected. He didn't even re-appeared in the european Disney comics. There was recently even a special about a battle of magicians. And nope! No Merlock there. 
I love the DuckTales and Darkwing Duck universe. The kind of cross over I love!
I hate when a big company guzzles many smaller and bigger companies up. Many things get lost, because there is a flood of different comics, cartoons, movies, games, etc. Wish I had more time and experience, so I would try to do my own comics with this character.
