Fun to draw my favourite Disney villains in Sanrio/Chibi-style!
The whole thing started with making an icon, and ended up with more. Used Flash for the outlines and colored the rest in Photoshop. More here: epicaistar.tumblr.com/post/126β¦ Merlock belongs to Disney

Ohhh, true true! >w< I keep forgetting that Disney doesn't like people making fanart and making money off of it (in any form)~!! But I noticed that it's going under the radar more at conventions. Even at a big one, like Anime Expo, I saw loootsss of prints for Frozen! I'm surprised... Unless Disney is becoming more lenient with prints of fanart selling, nowadays?? hmm..

I just don't want to risk anything. And compared to Frozen, Merlock is a tiny wheel. Much easier to spot than if anyone from millions sells Frozen fan art. :/

Flash has come a long way since it's beginnings. Almost all 2D animates shows use Flash these days. If anything, I hope they at least go the 2D route and not try to CGI it. It would be cool to reintroduce Merlock, preferably as a main villain. Plus bring back Christopher Lloyd to do the voice.

That's true, but I hate when all they do is moving symbols/parts around and reuse too much. I caught myself getting tired by watching (most)Flash and CGI related cartoons, because technically we look at the same few drawings/models the whole time. I personally like to redraw symbols/parts and love to do traditional animation. Unfortunately doing this is really expensive and time consuming. :/ Unless(hopefully!) Disney plans to put a lot of money into the reboot and hires good animators and artists that draw and animate really good and who love DuckTales.
Hiring Christopher Lloyd might be an expensive move(unless, like I said, Disney plans to invest a lot of money). I personally hope to see Merlock more than once in the show and he doesn't need to do anything huge. A funny story could be him being stranded in Duckburg and being forced to live like a "regular" citizen.
I'm personally fine if they would hire a different voice actor(they did that in the video games), since I grew up with a "different" Merlock. The german version has a deep warm voice(kind of sexy 
Scrooge's voice might be tricky too, since his voice actor is really old now. Let's hope for the best!
