Description
In celebration of my computer's 10 birthday (she's from 1998), i made this stamp, and this is not a joke, i made the stamp on her, in Paint.NET .She's still going strong, and i use her every day to MSN, Internet, music and more (not games)...
Took me around 10 minutes to make.
This stamp is only allowed to be used on deviantART as thumb in Journals and such

I have never owned a 90s computer before, since I was born in 2002.

My newest desktop was from the early or mid 2000s, and I haven't seen or used it in years.
I'd love to have a 90s desktop computer again for my old games. Always thought about buying one, fixing it up, and upgrading it enough to play Windows 98 compatible programs as well as DOS games. I'd have to do some research on how to work with hardware though.

I used to have 2 computers from pre-2000, but they went to be recycled 2 years ago.
Our family's first computer was from back in 1995 with Windows 3.11 For Workgroups. I still have the install disks, and they still work fine too.
Hope your computer is still going!

I have had some, but they all burnt up. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
I DID however have a Samsung Syncmaster 712ift which was one beastly motherfucking CRT monitor with the nastiest resolution. But my mom chucked it just because the back coating was wearing down. LAME

Ah yes, I remembered using the desktop for 7 years with Windows 98. I had to use it for internet, messenger, music and light stepmania (Until The beginning of 2008.). All that in laggy and 10GB goodness.
Good time....good times. No, seriously.

I currently using the Toshiba Tecra 720CDT laptop PC (even though it's not mine) and it's from late 1996 with the early 1997 BIOS update. I'm currently running Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2 without any internet access since the laptop is no longer internet capable as it used to be when people were on a dial-up modem.
Originally, the laptop had only 16 MB of memory, but it currently has 48 MB and can go up to 144 MB. The laptop also originally had Windows 98 installed before I deleted the partition, reformatted the hard drive and installed the OS.

if the computer is from the late 1996, how could it then be installed with windows 98?
and darn, only 48 MB of RAM? i've tried XP on 64, darn it runs slow, but it works

If the computer was manufactured in late 1996, then it must of been capable of upgrading to Windows 98, but took an up additional 100 MB of disk space.
I've seen a video on YouTube that some user was capable of upgrading their 66 MHz 486DX2 PC from Windows 95 OSR2 to Windows 2000 with only 64 MB of memory and a 4.3 GB hard drive split up into two FAT formatted partitions.
Yep. Windows XP runs very slow on PCs with 64 MB of memory and PCs slower than a Pentium processor are not capable of upgrading. A PC with a slow processor, just 48 MB of memory and a 1.2 GB hard drive falls far short of the system requirements needed to install Windows XP, even though it is barely capable of upgrading to Windows Millennium with the setup /nm command and Windows 2000.

yeah, but you said windows 98 was pre-installed on the laptop, but if you brought it in 1996, it can't have a OS that wheren't made yet...
Windows XP can run on a Pention III 300 Mhz with 256 MB RAM and 4 GB harddrive without the big problems...

Well...Windows 95 OSR2 was actually preinstalled on the laptop, but it was later upgraded to Windows 98. Sorry about the confusion though.
I first ran Windows XP as a upgrade from Windows Me on a old PC with a 46.1 GB hard drive and only 128 MB of memory.

Awww. I'm really glad you made this. My computer runs Windows ME and I honestly think he's alot more reliable than a lot of the newer computers I've used. I remember naming him Benny when
I was a little kid... XD I love my computer.
