Description Note:
-This is not the only way to go about this method of coloring, this is just how I do it. If you find a better way to do it, good for you.
-This is a massive 2.somthing MB file.
-And no, I am not planning on fully coloring that image. I don't ever plan on doing so. Don't.Ask.

Hey, this is awesome. Even with my limited ability, I'm getting an effect. I'm experimenting on that image of Paige, might post it up so everyone can see. Nice tutorial, well done

You're welcome. By the way, where does the quote in your signature come from? Colbert?

Yep! It's a quote from the Colbert Report.

*cries for my lost love* Oh, Photoshop, how could you break my heart like this?

For being adobe literate, I can't believe I've never checked out the variations tool.

Next time you're here, you can play around with Photoshop all you want.

Too bad I don't have two tablets; we could network both computers and have an Open Canvas session.

Impressive. I have never seen someone work in that way. I didn't even know about the variations tool. I'll have to try it some time!

GearOtter In reply to cooley [2006-05-18 04:02:51 +0000 UTC]

The variations tool is one of those hidden gems in Photoshop.

I use it to enhance all my images. That, and the levels tool; my images in their raw form are usually quite bland and lacking in any contrast or bright colors.

I would love to learn how to use Flash sometime.

You can download a trial version of Photoshop from Adobe, and if you want, I could send you the keygen so you can make it a full verson.
