History:
Though this is not a new mutation, it's sudden reappearance almost a year after it was thought killed came as a surprise to the researchers at Black Mountain. The Pig was first encountered in June of 1976 when it attacked the First Born when it was still an adolescent. The enormous swine nearly mauled the young mutant to death before being distracted by the presence of human infantry, allowing the First Born to recover and strike back.
Using the element of surprise, the First Born eventually overpowered the Pig and dragged it into the nearby lake where it presumably drowned to death. However this was not the case, as the hideous mammal washed ashore on the opposite end of the lake hours after the humans and First Born had left. The creature coughed up blood and water from it's crooked jaws, wheezing heavily as it pathetically limped away into the radioactive forest to recover. The Pig had suffered severe injuries at the hands of the mutant salamander; large swaths of it's skin where boiled away by acid, in some parts down to the bone. It's right eye and the surrounding tissue had also been dissolved away, leaving raw, boiled flesh.
Lastly, it's hind leg had been bitten deep and burned by acidic saliva, rendering the limb nearly useless. The swine would spend months in it's lair healing it's injuries, surviving off of it's internal fat stores. Little by little the mutant began to regain it's strength and was gradually able to walk again. As winter approached, the Pig left it's den to graze and hunt to prepare for hibernation. Once it's hibernation period was over, it would track down the creature that injured it...and kill it. Winter came and the Pig slept, stuck in a perpetual nightmare of drowning and being burned alive by acid.
Once winter had passed and the forest blossomed with mutated life, the great swine stirred from it's slumber. The beast was filled with a vengeance unmatched by any monster, emerging from it's lair and immediately beginning it's search. The creature detected a variety of scents and followed the freshest one. For hours the hog scoured the woodland in search of it's target until coming across a secluded lake in the middle of the forest. The Pig was weary about approaching the water, as experience had taught it well. The mammal snorted and dug at the ground with one of it's hooves before releasing a high pitched squeal from it's rancid mouth.
No sooner had it finished it's cacophony of squealing did the water erupt with a large object. The creature leapt clear over the Pig and landed behind it. The swine immediately spun around to face it's opponent, but found that this was not the creature that scarred it. The vile thing bore a similar stench and some minor physical resemblance, but was almost totally different. Now, The Pig was about to face The Parasite. The Pig eyed it's attacker which it easily dwarfed in size, whereas the amphibian-like creature simply stared back with cold, bulging, unblinking eyes.
The Parasite immediately lashed out with it's whip-like tongue in an attempt to inject it's vile offspring into it's attacker, but the swine's hide proved to be too tough for the ovipositor to penetrate in a single hit. The massive swine squealed and charged the amphibian who leapt into the air with it's powerful legs, evading the attack and allowing the swine to plow through several thick trees instead. The Pig shook itself off and turned around once more; the vile abomination hissing at it and baring it's rows of tiny, chisel-like teeth.
The muscle strands in the amphibian's legs visibly tensed up as it prepared to jump once more. This time however, the creature's entire rib cage expanded open before leaping into the air. The swine was so startled by the display that it did not have enough time to counter. The Parasite landed on the swine's back and immediately clamped it's ribs down hard onto the pig's back as the swine squealed and thrashed in an attempt to throw it's attacker off. The amphibian got to work chewing through the pig's leathery hide, quickly eating through the mammal's defenses.
The Pig bit down on the Parasite's thrashing tail with it's tusked maw, shearing through flesh and crunching bone. Blood trickled from the amphibian's tail, but this was not enough to stop the creature's attempts to breach it's defenses. The Pig bit down harder and harder until a simple twitch of the neck was sufficient in tearing the tail clean off of the Parasite's rear end. At last the Parasite gurgled in pain and momentarily loosened it's grip. The Pig seized the opportunity and threw itself to the ground as if to roll in mud, crushing the smaller creature with it's weight.
The Parasite kicked it's legs from underneath the swine's girth, unable to free itself from this death trap as it's body began to break and crumble. The swine finally stood back up on all fours, leaving the Parasite's mangled but still living body on the ground. The Parasite's regenerative abilities kicked in and the mutant's body rapidly began to heal itself. Not willing to let it's quarry heal, the swine opened it's jaws wide and bit down on the Parasite's head with a sickening crunch. The amphibian thrashed wildly as the pig's tusks gouged out one of the mutant's eyes.
Finally, the amphibian's thrashing came to a halt when the Pig crushed it's head in it's jaws like a melon, utterly obliterating the creature's skull. The mutant's body went limp as the swine tossed it to the ground, squealing aloud in victory. The Pig began to feast upon the Parasite's corpse, tearing out it's ovipositor tongue and slurping it down like one would to a noodle. As it fed, it knew that this was not it's main target, but killing off one of it's kin brought a measure of satisfaction. By the time the Pig had finished feeding, all that was left of the Parasite where skull and brain fragments, bloodied bones and a mutilated eyeball...
The next morning, the Pig would continue it's quest to hunt down it's victim, traveling through heavily wooded areas to avoid contact with humans as often as possible as to not waste time. Days went by as the Pig followed scent trails that would often lead to nowhere, but pick up again elsewhere. Finally on March 24th, the swine picked up on a powerful scent similar to the mutant it killed earlier, but this one was much more....familiar. The huge mammal eagerly followed the trail, completely disregarding crossing roads or farmlands where humans would surely spot it.
After two hours of searching, the swine arrived near the town of Minersville where the scent was at it's strongest. At last, the Pig prepared to strike at it's enemy that lay just beyond a series of trees and shrubs. Not wanting to waste any more time, the Pig immediately charged through the underbrush and into it's target. The creature let out a surprised croak as the massive pig bulldozed it through more trees and into the town proper. The monster thrashed about as the Pig snapped it's jaws and jabbed with it's tusks. Suddenly, it's victim did the unexpected and opened it's jaws wider than normally possible and uncoiled four long tongues that wrapped around the pig's head.
The swine squealed in anger and attempted to pull itself away from the creature but no matter how far it got, the tongues seemed to stretch further and further. Finally, the Pig managed to grab one of the tongues in it's mouth and bite the appendage hard enough to sever it. The monster shrieked and retracted it's tongues back into it's mouth, the severed tongue already regenerating inside the hideous amphibian's maw. The Pig snorted, it's breath visible in the crisp morning air. The mammal dug at the ground and prepared to charge when suddenly, the Pig was blindsided from the right by yet another attacker. The Pig skid across the ground from the blow, demolishing a metal fence and several cars in a parking lot before coming to a stop.
As soon as the mammal shook itself off, it made visual contact with it's attacker. Upon seeing the First Born, the creature was reminded of the day it was nearly killed by the former. It caused an instinctive reaction of both fury and fear. The mutant was much larger now, standing at a height of 42 feet. The other creature lumbered next to the First Born and let out a sickening gurgle. This one was more similar in overall silhouette than the Parasite, but it lacked a tail and sported a much larger head and a bulbous throat pouch; no doubt where it's prodigious tentacle-like tongues where housed.
The Pig slowly approached the two mutants who hissed and snarled at the swine. The mammal was not deterred by these intimidation displays and snorted in defiance. The swine's urge to attack was growing by the moment, it's one eye hard-focusing on the creature who had mutilated it. The First Born seemed to recognize The Pig as well, most likely from the acid burns covering it's body. The other creature, The Devourer, didn't seem to care one way or another and merely stood by to defend it's sibling.
To the humans brave enough to stay and watch the confrontation, the animosity and hatred these creatures felt for one another was palpable in the air. Perhaps not hatred as humans understood it, but some animalistic equivalent that burned equally as hot. The swine could contain it's anger no longer and charged the amphibians with a blinding burst of speed. The amphibians stood their ground and allowed the swine to get close enough as The Devourer launched it's tentacle like tongues at the incoming attacker. The tongues wrapped around the pig's forelimbs and head with an iron hard grip that made the Pig stumble and trip.
The Devourer craned it's head to the left, dragging the Pig across the asphalt and into the side of an old brick building that easily crumbled under the animal's weight. The First Born made it's move and charged at the recovering swine, biting down onto the pig's shoulder. Before the salamander could secure a tight grip, the Pig forced the creature off and responded by kicking the First Born in the abdomen with it's hind legs like a mule. Spinning around, the swine bit down on the First Born's ankle and thrashed it's head in attempt to make the creature lose balance and fall. Fall it did, the mutant crashed to the ground with a quaking thud that shook the asphalt.
The Pig followed up by biting down onto the salamander's throat and viciously shaking the mutant around. The Devourer once again deployed it's tongues and snared both the creature's hind legs with two, and using two more to wrap around the Pig's waist. With a yank of it's head, the Devourer pulled the swine off of it's sibling and allowed the former to recover almost immediately. The swine planted it's forelimbs into the ground and attempted to resist the Devourer's pull, but could feel the mutant's acidic saliva burning through it's hide and needed to act quickly.
The Pig threw itself to the ground and began to roll, quickly tying the Devourer's tongues up to the point where it could maintain it's grip no longer. The tongues let go and snapped back into the amphibian's mouth like rubber bands. The Pig immediately re-focused it's attention to the First Born who lunged with it's jaws agape. The Pig thrust it's head forward, jabbing it's horns into the creature's mouth and making it quickly reconsider it's action. The Pig followed up by pushing the First Born through several power lines and into several row homes. Wood splinters and other debris flew about as the two creature's thrashing caused mayhem.
The Devourer joined the brawl, ramming it's broad head into the Pig's flank with as much force as it could muster. The Pig budged a bit, but did not retaliate as it was hellbent on killing the First Born. The Devourer attacked again, biting down on the pig's back only to receive a stiff kick to the throat for it's efforts. The Pig opened it's jaws wide in an attempt to bite and crush the First Born's head like it had done to the Parasite. The First Born grasped the Pig's jaws and held them open with it's gnarled hands. The Pig's breath reeked with the smell of death; It's crooked, yellowed teeth still had small bits of the Parasite's bloodied flesh lodged between them. The First Born felt a sense of loss, like a wolf that lost a pack mate. Though it's primitive brain could not truly allow it to mourn, it still acknowledged that it's kin had been killed by this beast.
The Pig's sheer ferocity and determination to kill granted it levels of strength not thought possible as it forced it's mouth closer and closer towards the First Born's head, gradually overpowering the salamander. It seemed as though the Pig would finally get it's revenge and kill this creature that maimed it. Once it finished this whelp it would then mutilate it's sibling as well. That's when the Pig realized it had made a fatal error: in it's blind rage it had nearly forgotten about The Devourer. No sooner did it realize this did the Devourer's tentacle-like tongues coil around the Pig's throat and upper jaw. The Devourer stepped back and used it's powerful tongues to force the Pig's head to look up.
With it's hands and the Devourer's tongues still holding the Pig's jaws open, the First Born began to gag and cough. The Pig looked down at the salamander with it's eye wide with terror. It knew what would come next. Using a series of muscular contractions, the salamander regurgitated a stream of highly corrosive acid directly into the Pig's mouth. The Pig squealed in horror as the acid instantly began eating away at it's flesh. The Devourer released it's grip as the Pig ran around wildly, the acid burning away the floor of it's mouth and causing it's half melted tongue to fall to the ground with a sickening flop along with half of it's lower jaw. The Pig let out agonized, gurgling squeals as it's entire snout sloughed off of it's face. Several rapidly expanding holes opened up around it's neck as it's head continued to boil away.
At last, the Pig dropped to the ground, unmoving. White whisks of smoke trailing off of it's body as the acid separated the head from it's body. The head rolled around before being reduced to an unrecognizable mess of bone and bloody, melted tissue. Both Amphibians roared and croaked in victory as the Pig's steaming corpse lay before them. The First Born looked at the dead mutant, remembering how it had nearly been killed by it when it was younger, and that all this time the creature was alive and hunting it. Though the massive mutant had been slain, it was clear the two where still inexperienced combatants. In this rapidly changing world they would need to adapt or die, and The Parasite's fate served as a grim reminder of this. Having nearly leveled the town of Minersville in their quarrel, the Devourer and the First Born retreated back into the forests...

Been busy, did'nt really have time on my hands to comment, but I do now.
Truly do love the look of this guy, the yellow drool, the melted flesh, the visible ribs, the overgrown tusks emerging from his skull, the spine bursting from his back, and of course those classic bulging veins you seem to love so much, truly make for a creepy look.
Didn't expect him to still be alive, or powerful enough to take on two of the salamander siblings at once. Also did'nt expect one of the siblings to die so soon
