Issue about the Hegemony; "Divine Right" and "Meritocracy" are contradictory terms.

well, its sort of like a monarchy with a meritocratic stratocracy.

No king could hold onto their power like that; a politically powerful military (which is a necessity for a stratocracy) under a monarchy has to rely on nepotism, giving posts of command based on loyalty to the monarch. If its meritocractic, then you're gonna get ambitious people rising up till they hit that glass ceiling known as "The King".
And that never turns out well for the monarch; having ambitious, politically powerful generals who are good at leading battles and campaigns and who are used to being rewarded and promoted based on their capability rather than their family suddenly finding there is no way to go up is a sure fire way to get yourself overthrown.
Or, sometimes, killed by your own guard and have your post (by the ambitious, politically powerful military leaders) sold to the highest bidder, as was sometimes the case in Rome.
Its still a contradition in terms, but I'd put the limit of that monarch at however long it takes for 20% of the military to agree that someone else deserves the post.

So I get Africa, eh? And Madagascar. It's quite good since we've got rainforest with all sorts of fruits and medicinal plants. Freed from colonialism and the drive to "progress" via cutting down the rainforest, we've become self-sustaining. The rainforest has grown back nicely, and the animals are now plentiful. Kind of like pre-colonial America.
However, tribes still get into clashes at times. However, the teachers try to educate the youth right in that we may be many and varied, but we are still in this together and united, kind of like a mosaic. Now I'll make a flag for this society...
