TA DA~Realized, that, despite having loved this character since I was a kid, I've never once drawn him.
So you have it. Felix the Cat, and his magic Bag.
Since one of the things the bag could do was turn into just about anything, I decided to have a bit of fun with that.

Yes, I do. I was excited at first, because I thought it might lead to a revival, but then was rather let down when I found out they only intended to merchandise with the character.

That said, the 60s cartoon version is probably my least favorite version of Felix, probably because it was the least bizzare version, my favorite version is probably Twisted Tales Felix, oh there was the Baby Felix thing, but I like to pretend that it dosen't even exist.

Ah, yes! I really did like the Twisted Tails of Felix series. But my choice to go with the 60's style Felix was more based off of that one kind of carrying over into the movie they made in the eighties, which was one of my strongest introductions to Felix. I later got introduced to some of the episodes, more around the time of when Felix had Goldie the Golden Goose as his companion.

Felix the Movie, it's quite funny how bizarre yet uninteresting it is, though it's a shame really, I think there was potential to make it good. I just got a comic collection with stories made by Otto Messmer, one of two creators of Felix, It's really interesting how differently the various authors have drawn Felix, with the 60s version one being my least favorite due how stiff the design seems.

Huh, I haven't seen the comic series.
As far as the movie....yeah, I suppose it wasn't the greatest (it also has a very /heavy/ eighties animated movie vibe) but I always really liked it. I still do, even though I realize now there are a lot of cheesy things about it, and that the animation was rather low budget.

Aww, glad you think so. I was actually rather surprised how many faves this already racked up. That give more encouragement to doing future drawings of him. I'd been kind of reminded again of my love of this character, and felt like drawing him. Been in the mood to watch the movie again. ^.^
