Description
Only four months after my first endeavour into the world of drawing Ruby Gloom, I hereby present part one of a two-part picture wherein Ruby demonstrates her typical "look on the bright side" attitude. It took me a long time to get the outstretched hand the way I like it, and I actually do really like it. There's something off about her face, though, and it's either where her mouth is or the way I drew her hair. Oh, and I also like the way her back foot is on tip-toe.My overall intent is to end up with a greeting card with this picture on the front and part two on the inside. Digitally coloured, of course.

This is a Mighty Fine sketch, I must admit.

I think I see what you're saying; I'll just have to peruse my recordings harder for a matching screenshot. Speaking of which, I'll definitely want to do that for my next drawing; you don't see her crouching down too often...

Her head has always given me trouble. But I don't think you'll have any problems with some more practice.
As for poses, I found one screenshot of Ruby on bended knee, and one wallpaper in more of a crouched position.
