What gave you the idea to not include Eggman in the story?
Ok this isn't me disrespecting your story telling etc, cause in all honesty, I really admire the risk you took. Eggman is (in a sense) a pretty big part of the Sonic universe. He's like the Ying to Sonic's Yang, and having him not there is like taking the ham out of the ham sandwich.
So I'm just curious as to how you came to the decision

I took him out because sonic vs Eggman is bit only an over used idea. When's the last time anyone has seen anything NEW if sonic besides him beating up eggman for the 50th time. This is sort of the reason why I also wanted to create my own villain, because I wanted to have something sonic has never faced before, something that is actually a threat to himself and others, someone that can rip sonic apart and always win, someone who is extremely threatening and something new.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think eggman isn't threatening, but him vs sonic is an over used concept. Without eggman, sonic will barely have a purpose.... Ish. I just wanted to try out something new.

That's kinda what I figured. And it's always great for someone to try something new.
I think the whole concept of Eggman is that he's very persistant and focussed on his goals, meaning Sonic keeps on running into him (pun not intended) and forced to have to battle him even if he never intended to xD
Although Eggman would have been useless against Zielo anyway, he'd have torn him apart!

Yeuuup! When humans get serious, they get dead (no pun intended) serious. I like to think the humans in this comic are more like the humans in today's world, and their reactions to someone like Eggman, especially with the record he holds, is probably to sentence him to death.

I started reading this comic today. And my opinion is this: PURELY EPIC. I really want to see the next page! I'm loving this too much XD Keep up the good work! And may your comic continue to be good! XD
