I colored this. [link]Nope. No background. Tooooooo lazy.
Note: Hey, sorry I've been negligent to my account. But you see, after I finally got my life back in February, the moniter on my mom's computer went down. That sounds like no excuse, but it is, in fact, a real blow to my art-making abilities. This is how I bring my art to life:
1. I draw by hand.
2. I scan said drawing onto my mom's computer.
3. I transport the scan onto my $25 mac to make it look nice.
4. I put the finished product back onto my mom's computer.
So you see, when the moniter is down, that means no scanner either. And it's still down. So I just have to work with what's already on my mac, and post stuff on one of my brother's computers. I wanted to let everyone know earlier, but my brother's computer won't let me update my journal. It kicks me off the internet every time I try.
Hopefully these issues will be remedied in a couple of weeks. I'm workin on it.

Well, I got to spend the last few months pretending like I was going to school when in reality I got play around with Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Maya, etc, etc...
It was really nice to indulge my creative side for a little while...Then I realized that my computer animation skills will need a TON more work to even consider being competitive, so I'm learning how to muck around inside computers and computer networks, so I might be able to get a real job until I can put out sophisticated works of computer art...or something like that.
I did submit a proposal to write an article for a small overseas company, but I haven't heard anything back yet, so who knows on that...
And every time I look at your artwork, I start trying to come up with a way that I can hire you for an illustration project because all that fantastic work needs to go somewhere... (Yes, your cat people did that to me just today...I've always thought my fantasy world should have some cat people anyway...)

that's...sort of what happened to me. The downstairs computer had to be forced into a coma because of a virus, and even before that it would not recognize the scanner anymore. (At one random point it did and then disconnected.) So I scan things on my mom's laptop, email it to myself, and edit it on my own floor tile laptop.
Anyways...good to see this pic colored! It's very vibrant and at the same time you can quickly find the focus of the two characters.

Yeah, I checked out some of the original costume designs from the ballet of Scheherazade before I drew it, and some traditional middle-eastern dance outfits.

The colors and the detail are great. I think you can get away with not having a background.
