Last page of 2018!
Here begins a familiar flashback scene that shows how Mecha Sally was weaponized. Archie Sonic never went into detail about the process, but I really wanted to explore how Dr. Eggman modified her. Is it just a paint job or did he start tinkering under the hood?

personal statement here: I always felt that Sonic Heroes made a misstep for the series with heavily replacing a chunk of the badnick designs with egg pawns. I get the idea but just like the Swatbots there should have been more traditional badnicks alongside them so the enemies dont feel too samey every zone.

Damn poor Sally the thing I hate that the canon comic did that Sally was just over what happened to her and what she did, which I hope you won't do, but I get the feeling that you will do the impact of what she will need to deal with what happened

There are so many things than want to said about this page
1.- Ambience, all the page has a feeling than something bad is going to happen soon, in the past and in the present, the background colors (specially in the 3 last panels) show to the reader the emotional state of the characters. In Eggman the wish to hurt, and in Sally the afraid to be hurt...
2.- Revenge, Eggman always have been motivated by greed, but now I percive in him a feeling of revenge. I had seen him taking this actitud to Sonic, but now I can see him having the same feeling to ALL the freedom fighters, and he is putting all his revenge in the victim than he have at hand... Sally, specially Sally who is the soul of FF. I like than he recognized her as an enemy, as the most representative member of the Freedom Fighters. I imagine than he do this because he needs to fell successful,
3.- Vulnerability.- I have said on previous pages than we can see how indefence is Sally, specially seen like an object or a weapon. But in this page Eggman see her as a prisioner, he talk direct to her, and let her understand than he can do EVERYTHING with her. He hit Sally with all the revenge than he wants to do, and make her to do.
Its so interesting than reader cant see her mind or what she is thinking, but we (at least I) can fell her afraid, her negative, or her wish than no matter what he is going to do to her and with her STOP! (And it havent started...)

It takes too long for Sally to be saved, and many say that she will never be saved, I like to see how this goes

From what I recall weaponizing her was basically gutting her established internals (the ones that were roboticized) and replacing them with actual machinery and weapons. The consequence to this is that she couldn't be de-roboticized as her internals were now actual machinery.
That being said if Sally was to be deroboticized (which I suspect was unlikely given the original writer) they'd more or less have to clone Sally's body to restore her organs.

Wouldn't go so far as a "redemption" but perhaps a betrayal towards Eggman. She knows what's possible with a Genesis Wave and will most likely delay or stop Eggman from achieving his goals. If she uses Mecha Sally to do it, which I am suspecting is plausible, I will enjoy it.

Im trying to think of this from a realistic perspective. If you were turned into a robot and had your parts replaced, would that mean being deroboticized would turn you into a hideous Frankenstein monster? Like quite literally with appendages that are oblong and dont quite fit the anatomy? Or maybe having so much of your body altered would result in deroboticization instantly killing you? This is has always been a complicated subject.

What I loved about the Archie Comics was that, although this Dr Eggman (Who was from a different dimension) is somewhat similiar to modern Eggman in the main games, there are moments like this where we are remind that this version of Eggman is more ruthless, tyrannical, insane, and quite genocidal (What he and the Dingos did to the Echidnas being a clear example). Despite his many defeats and setbacks, we are also reminded that he still rules much (if not most) of Mobius, and is still a force to be reckon with, such as when he nearly overran the United Federation Captial of Central City, landed a crippling blow to the GUN, but decided to prolong their inevitable defeat just to remind them of who was winning this war, and also since he was mainly after Sinvely. This moment here is another reminder of how twisted Eggman can truly be, and also makes others (including me) question if poor Sally can even be returned to normal at all.

It does make sense for his arms to be pretty built. The guy seems to do nothing but build robots and spread chaos. Even if he does end up getting robots to build more robots, I'm sure that doesn't stop him from applying a personal touch.

At the very least, Eggman would want to make it impossible for Sally to easily be deroboticized. Ending any possibility of future House of Acorn members bothering him would just be a nice side-effect of the process.
