(Note: yes, I'm still shuffling through the backlog of messages, I'm nearly halfway there, so thanks for your patience so far
)Ok, time to jump in the 'Wayback Machine' again
I started this piece back in April of last year, but things being as hectic as they were, did not get to finish it at that time. Then when I found out Adult Swim was going to start running the show, I figured I might as well hold onto it and wait until an appropriate time to put it up.In any case, Ichigo Kurosaki from the anime/manga Bleach. (thank *Tenshiryuu for getting me hooked on it a while back).
Medium: Pencil lineart on vellum, painting done in Photoshop and Painter.
Note: I have only seen through something like episode 22 of the anime and volume 16 of the manga, so please keep any references in comments confined to what is known up to that point. Much thanks

Ahhh!! Bleach! I watched the first two seasons, then the battles were taking too long and I sadly lost interest. But battling giant evil Hollows with big scary weapons will always be cool! You are obviously on the up and up! Back to lurking..... mwa ha ha ha........

This is a highly appropriate peice for what is going on in the current manga (vol 26 or 27 I believe) But you probably have very little idea. I really like seeing this character in your style, ^__^ its very nice. (you're probably getting a lot of fangirlish 'Woo! ICHIGO!!!1!!!!1111!' in these notes no doubt.)

Hmm... That half-mask again...
I love the flow going on here. The eye naturally travels down, but here, the flow very much leads us upward like rising smoke. Everything from eyelines, to the smoke and chain keep us from sliding down even an inch, and the dynamic poses give a lot of... I have to say it... Soul energy to the piece.
