Weiss turned to Aurora with a smile, but before Weiss had a chance to say response she saw a red flash and something glomp her. Weiss did not need to ask who it was as she glanced down and saw Ruby giving her a hug.Β
"Hi Weiss!" Ruby said with her usual excitement as Weiss let out a sigh.Β
"Hello Ruby." Weiss said, trying to hide a small smile which showed she had gotten used to this from Ruby who in turn glanced at Aurora with a curious stare.Β
"Oh, Ruby this is my friend Aurora. Aurora, this is my friend and leader of Team RWBY Ruby." Weiss explained as Ruby had a look of amazement.Β
"Really? I didn't know that? You didn't mention you made a friend Weiss?" Ruby asked as she nor anyone else knew of this, mostly because this artificial status had been made minutes ago.Β

As was painfully clear by this point, Aurora wasn't good with people. Especially the loud sort who suddenly appeared from nowhere. Thus perhaps the shriek she let out at Ruby's sudden arrival was somewhat understandable. Even after recovering from the surprise, Aurora remained cautious. She regarded Ruby curiously, partially hiding behind Weiss.

Ruby had a worried look over Aurora, for fear she might have scared her as Weiss let out a sigh before she glanced back at Aurora.Β
"Don't worry, Ruby may be a bundle of energy but she is really harmless." Weiss said in an attempt to reassure the girl before Ruby decided to speak up.Β
"H-hey there, it's okay. I'm not scary or anything. And if you are a friend of Weiss, I'd like to get to know you better myself." Ruby said with a smile as she hoped this would ease the girl's nerves.Β

Aurora offered a small smile of her own, though she remained behind Weiss.
"It's fine...I-I'm just...a little to easy to startle I guess..." Aurora said, hoping to show Ruby she was all right and end their encounter as soon as possible. Friend of Weiss or not, Ruby's sudden appearance hadn't left the best first impression, and Aurora had been quite content with her new friend.

Ruby smiled at that before she turned to Weiss.Β
"So what are you two doing?" Ruby asked as Weiss seemed to smile a bit at this.Β
"Well, I happened to be giving Aurora a tour of the school." Weiss explained as this seemed to excite Ruby.Β
"Ooh, that sounds cool! Can I tag along?" Ruby asked as Weiss had to roll her eyes, but her expression indicated she did not have a problem with it though an opening for Aurora to make a statement was there.Β

Aurora tried to protest, but she simply couldn't seem to find the words. Even with Weiss under her thrall the meek girl couldn't manage to disagree with her.
"S-sure..." Aurora mumbled, nodding in acquiescence to Ruby's request. She tried to tell herself it wouldn't be so bad. Perhaps Ruby would grow bored and leave, or maybe she wouldn't be quite as bothersome as she seemed.

"Yay!" Ruby said with her usual excitment as Weiss let out a sigh.Β
"Fine, but on one condition. Don't be so overly...you. Try to control yourself. Some people might not respond well to too much energy..." Weiss said, with a subtle reference to Aurora as Ruby, in a rare moment of insight, gave a nod.Β
"Oh I see. Don't worry Weiss, I can do that." Ruby assured.Β

Aurora shot Wiess a grateful smile. She had doubts about Ruby's self-control, but it meant a lot to her that Weiss cared.
"S-shall we be off then?" Aurora asked, taking Weiss's arm and doing her best to offer Ruby a friendly smile as well.

Ruby in turn offered a friendly smile back as she walked on the other side of Weiss before Weiss would continue on with her little tour.Β
"Tell me, have there been any places of interest on campus you'd like to explore and know more about?" Weiss asked as she and Ruby walked together along with Aurora out of the cafeteria.Β

Aurora considered this for a moment. Truth be told she'd been less interested in the tour itself and more in the company, though knowing a bit about the campus would certainly be helpful
"I mean...I guess you've given me a pretty good overview by now. Where exactly do you stay?" Aurora asked, finding herself a bit more at ease now that the tour was continuing.

Weiss would smile at this before she would give an answer.Β
"I stay at my dorm room, along with my teammates Ruby, Blake and Yang." Weiss explained as she began to walk in the direction of the dorm rooms since Aurora had brought up that topic.Β
"Though right now Yang's off into town and Blake is at the library. Least as far as I know about. So we can't meet up with them now." Ruby explained to Aurora, as she herself had gone to the cafeteria to get a meal before she saw Weiss and Aurora.Β

Aurora was actually rather glad the other two weren't around. Crowds were...not her natural environment, and she was still getting used to Ruby.
"Interesting. Um...what are they like? Your friends I mean, not the dorm. Though I guess I' a bit curious about that too." Aurora asked, mostly just trying to maintain conversation.

Weiss would offer a small smile as she began to describe her friends. Briefly as they continued their walk to the dorms.
"Well, Blake is usually reserved and not quiet with a fond love of literature. She has some...quirks, but she usually keeps a level head among most things." Weiss explained, naturally she excluded her being a Faunus or specified those "quirks" were her Faunus side characteristics such as a dislike of dogs (Which had decreased as she got used to Zwei).Β
"Yang is uh...bit of a hot head at times. Is quite the character, even a bit of a flirt and often acts before she thinks. Really passionate about her interests, hair most notable. There's never a dull moment with her." Weiss added before she gave a genuine smile.Β
"However, I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world." Weiss admitted whens she suddenly felt a hug from Ruby.Β
"Ah Weiss, I knew you cared." Ruby said as Weiss had a blush as for a moment she had forgotten Ruby was there.

Aurora considered this. Blake sounded like the sort of person she could be comfortable around. She would have to ask Weiss more about her later. Yang on the other hand sounded far less like her type, though if Weiss was so fond of her perhaps Aurora was being to quick to judge.
"It sounds like you have some...interesting friends." Aurora replied, giggling a bit at Ruby's sudden interjection. Perhaps the girl wasn't so bad either.

Weiss turned to Aurora and gave a sheepish grin as Ruby still hugged her friend.Β
"You can say that again, hope we don't prove to be a bit...too out there for you." Weiss said as she knew her team's antics and personalities might make Aurora uncomfortable.Β

"I-I'm sure I'll be fine..." Aurora replied, hoping that she sounded more confident than she felt. Despite her apprehension of Ruby lessening, Aurora couldn't help but feel a tinge of jealousy as she continued to hug Weiss.

"Yeah Weiss, you worry too much." Ruby said as she broke the hug and gave Aurora a friendly, genuine smile.Β
"I have no doubt we'll be great friends with Aurora." Ruby said, speaking from the heart as Weiss arrived just outside their dorm room.Β
"Here is our humble home." Weiss explained to Aurora.Β

"I'm sure we will..." Auroa replied, less than enthusiastically. Despite her apprehension, she was clearly in awe as she looked around the dorm.

Ruby grinned as she flopped onto the bed, giggling as she never got tired of that while Yang shook her head with an amused grin and turned to Auora.Β
"Well, if you look to your left you'll see we have quite the extensive gaming collection." Yang said as she began her tour of the dorm with what appeared to be a game consoul and several games of different genres. Though tournament fighters and party-style multiplayer seemed to stick out.

Aurora took a couple steps back, still not altogether comfortable with Ruby's...energetic behaviour. She instead focused her attention on Weiss and her mini tour.
"I see. I suppose you all must be quite comfortable here, yes?" Aurora asked, not altogether sure how to reply.

Weiss gave a nod at this, giving a subtle nod to Ruby to tone it down to which amazingly she did as she sat up and just smiled at Aurora.Β
"Indeed, in spite of moments of...insanity..." Weiss said, a not so subtle glance directed at Ruby who offered a sheepish grin as she rubbed the back of her head before Weiss turned back to aurora.Β
"...it is quite nice here.

Aurora gave Weiss an appreciative nod. She wouldn't mind befriending this Ruby girl, but she seemed a bit to much to handle. It also occurred to her just how easily she could correct this.
"I imagine the...insanity, can take it's toll though?" Aurora asked, glancing back at Ruby before offering Weiss a sympathetic smile.

Ruby smiled in return, before Weiss thought over what Aurora had asked of her.Β
"I...I suppose so. Though usually I'm able to deal with it easily enough." Weiss admitted to Aurora.Β

"Well of course you can deal with it. I can't imagine you let anything bother you for long." Aurora said with genuine admiration. She leaned in closer, lowering her glasses and allowing the colours to begin to dance in her eyes.
"But if you do find it bothersome, you can always confide in me." She whispered.

Weiss was about to question what Aurora implied by that before she caught a glimpse of that oh so pretty shine the colors in her eyes emitted which caused her focus to shift to them and her jaw to slack if only slightly.Β
"Y-yeah I...that makes sense." Weiss replied with a slight slur. Ruby watched in the distance with an eyebrow raised, unsure of what was happening.Β

"I can help if you want. Make everything nice and calm. That would be better for both of us, wouldn't you agree?" Aurora asked, keeping her eyes locked on Weiss's. She was already tempted to introduce Ruby to her powers, and a request from Weiss, even if it took a little prodding, would be all the motivation she needed.Β

"Y-yeah...t-that does...does sound better..." Weiss replied, her voice slightly dazed in response as this caused Ruby to frown a little. As Weiss seemed so...so emotionless, and just going along with what Aurora said, which seemed out of character for her teammate.Β
"Um...is Weiss okay? W-what are you doing?" Ruby asked Aurora.Β

Aurora broke into a wide smile, more and more convinced that she was doing the right thing. Things had been so pleasant since she 'befriended' Weiss, surely using her semblance just a tad more wouldn't hurt. Besides, who could blame her for making Ruby turn things down a notch?
"Oh she's just fine, I'm showing her a little trick is all." Aurora said, sounding far more upbeat than she'd previously been when addressing Ruby. In truth she was beyond nervous, but she just needed to keep the act up a little longer. "It's actually pretty neat, wanna check it out?"

(Fun fact, you are about the third character who has an internal monologue about how they are "doing the right thing" and to give an idea of where this usually goes, they never end up doing the right thing and do really questionable things XD. Not that I think Aurora is that bad mind you XD)
Ruby listened to Aurora, who had been a bit more upbeat and lively then when she had addressed her before hand. Not that Ruby judged her for it, though she glanced back at...Weiss' rather dazed expression as she stared deeper into the pretty colors in Aurora's eyes before she turned to Aurora with an apprehensive look. Something that was rare of the usual energetic go getter.Β
"W-well, I'm not sure. Weiss is acting really...funny right now. W-what trick is this?" Ruby asked curiously as she was curious what caused this demeanor change within the ice queen of Team RWBY.Β

(Interesting. I certainly can't say Aurora's doing the right thing, but when life hands you social anxiety and a semblance that's basically Kaa eyes, you do what you gotta do.)
"I'm helping her relax is all. I think she's been under a bit of stress lately. Like she said, some of her friends can make life pretty insane." Aurora explained, trying her best to maintain a calm and friendly composure. Why couldn't this girl just cooperate? Just a few adjustments under her gaze and they could all be such good friends.

(That's fine, just thought I'd share it with you cause I just found that fascinating how more than one RPer had the same line used. Though I hope Aurora doesn't go...as evil as other RP characters I've interacted with XD. But your story anything goes really.)
"Ruby listened to Aurora's words, and glanced back at Weiss who to her credit did seemed rather relaxed as she admired Aurora's eyes. Maybe this girl had a point? Ruby was never one to assume the worst of people, even ones she had just met.
"I mean, if that's all it does, I guess I could give it a shot..." Ruby said, though not with the usual confidence or firmness that came with her decisions.Β

"Trust me, it'll be fine. Just give it a try." Aurora urged her, beckoning Ruby closer. She smiled to herself, so close now. Just a little more and she'd have two perfect friends.

Ruby listened to Aurora's urging, all the while Weiss just mindlessly stared into her pretty eyes, before she eventually let out a sigh.Β
"Fine, I owe it to give you a chance with this. Just no funny business." Ruby replied, as she made her concession clear and had the naive belief that would be enough as she was willing to give her a chance.

"No funny business, I promise I really do want to be your friend." Aurora assured her, taking a small amusement in the fact that she really wasn't lying. She waited for Ruby to get close before turning her gaze from Weiss and focusing on Ruby, seeking to lock her colourful eyes with Ruby's silver eyes. Moment of truth, if she could just get Ruby under her little spell then they could be the best of friends. If not...well things were going to turn a tad awkward.

Ruby stares into the...the rather pretty eyes of Aurora though for the brief moment she appears to have no obvious reaction towards it. Least at first till she has a big cheeky grin.Β
"Oh, it's so pretty!" Ruby complimented as she seemed not so much entranced like Weiss but rather amazed by the pretty light. Perhaps a different reaction given the different personality type? Though even if it seemed ineffective, Ruby was watching with interest.Β

Aurora froze up, Ruby's reaction throwing her for a loop. Though continuing to gaze at Ruby, she was clearly unnerved, her breathing quickening as she began to fidget.
"Y-yes it uh...it's very pretty isn't it. And the longer you stare, th-the prettier it gets..." Aurora stammered, hoping that all Ruby needed was a bit more time enjoying the colours.

Ruby paid Aurora's fidget reaction and unnerved tone no mind, as she was focused only on the pretty eyes of Aurora with that same innocent smile on her face.Β
"Yeah, I can see it. So much prettier..." Ruby admitted, and perhaps the fight sign of effectiveness was shown as she trailed off that statement. It was subtle, but her expression became, if only a little bit, more relaxed as she stared.Β

"Th-that's right.Β And as you stare at the pretty colours you feel relaxed and content. Very relaxed and contented." Aurora said, the familiar mantra helping recover her composure. She hesitantly reached out and gently took Ruby by the chin, guiding her a bit closer.

Ruby's smile shifted from her usual energetic one to a more dreamy one, as he made no effort to protest Aurora's actions and in fact allowed her to guide her closer to those oh so beautiful eyes that had quite clearly caught her attention and gained her interest as she offered up a dazed nod.Β
"Y-yeah...so pretty...so relaxed...so content..."

Aurora had to admit, that smile was downright adorable. She was going to enjoy having Ruby around.
"And while you feel so relaxed and content, you want to listen oh so very closely to what I have to say. As long as you listen, we can be the best of friends. Would that be wonderful Ruby?" Aurora asked, confidence building as she was increasingly sure of her success.

Ruby's dreamy smile only grew, as her eyes became slightly dazed in response while she offered a weak nod.Β
"Y-yeah...best of friends...I would...I would love that..." Ruby said with a smile, as she gazed deeper and more lovingly into Aurora's beautiful and hypnotic eyes; not that Ruby was aware or cared of that at the moment.

"So would I Ruby, more than you know. There's just a few teensy little changes we need to make first. You're such a ball of energy Ruby, and it's more than I can handle. But I know you can change, more importantly I know you want to change. You want to make sure we can be friends." Aurora continued, gently caressing Ruby's cheek as she spoke.

Though this, caused a different reaction to appear on Ruby. As for a half second, a frown appeared on Ruby's face as she overheard your words. In spite of the desire for your eyes and the soothing touch of your skin making those words aim to sound appealing to her.Β
"C-change...you want...want me to change?" Ruby asked, her tone made it sound like that Aurora did not like her as she was now, which to a degree seemed to hurt Ruby and caused a look of self-conscious concern to appear. Like she had done something wrong, and wasn't good enough to be a friend to Aurora.Β

"J-just a bit..." Aurora replied quietly, the forlorn look on Ruby's face catching her off guard. She reminded herself that this was all for the best, that it was necessary for their future friendship, and that Weiss has, sort of, asked for this.
"Just a few minor changes, I promise. And then we're friends forever Ruby, it'll be wonderful." Aurora said, trying to assure both Ruby and herself.

"M-minor changes?" Ruby asked, as while she still seemed upset her attention and focus was all on Aurora as she listened to her attempts at reassurance.Β
"Do...do you not like...not like me?" Ruby asked, as she was curious why she had to change to be "accepted" by Aurora though it seemed she was willing to listen and consider the possibility.Β

"It's not that I...I mean..." Aurora stammered, trying to find her voice. Her semblance had always been a failsafe when she was out of her comfort zone, and now she still found herself put on the spot even while using it. Β
"You know how you are...Yelling, excitable, popping out of nowhere. I just...I can't deal with that. You can understand, can't you? Even Weiss finds it hard to deal with at times. A calm, docile Ruby, that's all I'm asking for..." Aurora finally said, speaking as gently as possible.Β

Ruby listened to Aurora's words, and to a degree she could understand. Though this agreement was likely boosted by Aurora's hypnotic eyes. Indeed, Weiss had complained about Ruby's energetic nature in the past. So a tweak to a more calm, docile version of herself seemed welcomed and if it got Aurroa's approval and friendship why not do it?Β
Because that was who Ruby was, and could changing from energetic and fun to docile and calm be really considered a minor change? This indecision between going along with the desire to listen to Aurora and being true to herself caused visible indecision.Β
"C-change...more docile...more calm. S-so I...I wouldn't be excitable? Wouldn't be energetic a-anymore?" Ruby asked as she continued to stare into Aurora's eyes while she spoke with both an inquisitive...and concerned tone.

Aurora nodded slowly as she listened to Ruby's concerns. She seemed to be making progress, but the longer this was drawn out, the more she began to question her own actions. Plus she only had the aura to sustain this effect for so long
"No, I...I suppose you wouldn't, at least not when I'm around. Think about I'm making you feel right now Ruby, relaxed and contented. That's how you should feel around your friends. But I just can't feel that way around you as you are now. Just this little change Ruby, and we can all share in that feeling. Weiss and I will feel as wonderful as you do right now, just from being around you." Aurora explained, seeking to end this little conversation as quickly as possible.
