i got a odst armor, i would love to join you guys but i live in germany and almost noone cosplays halo here

it's definitely fun as hell going with friends and stuff. We got a lot of attention in a group like this.
Personal preference/opinion here, but I totally like the marines over spartans. ODST's are cool, but there's just not enough marines these days. We're the unsung heroes! (or UNSC Army Units if you like the Halo Reach ones which I do, but that armor is even herder to find than anything

yea i know. sadly here at germany isn't enough of anything XD I also like the marines of halo, i always tried to protect all of them while playing halo XD Imagine going to a convention with a warthog and a whole squad of marines

same. everyone else seemed to think it was hilarious to teamkill them though.
So we played off that and at the convention me and the other marine went about our business and then one of the spartans just came up and buttstocked me and the other guy... and then EVERY spartan proceeded to t-bag out dead bodies.

well well, i remember that the marines went nuts after you killed some XD I once did it and i think the whole UNSC was hunting me after that XD

it...it was...the battlefield..so many dead everywhere..they where evil they where hunting me, i wanted to protect them...from the horror..of..this whar * imagine a picture of the 2000 yard stare here *

And then everything changed when the Halo 4 attacked.
then the dark times began....
I never could look at halo right again after that.

well actually my favourite halo game was 1 and odst. I really dont like reach to be honest i think its doesnt fit the style

I loved reach! (mostly for the multiplayer. I fucking loved zombies. that was literally the only thing i would play)
But also the story was kinda sad as ur team dies off 1 by one. I didn't mind the changes until i got on halo 4 and realised they took all the changes reach made, and amped it up by like 100%

well the thing is i am a singleplayer guy, i love and need a strong story, the story in reach was nice, but i doesnt feelt like playing halo for me. You know this special haloish look from 123 was gone in reach i think...for example the marines... thats my main problem with reach. But halo 4, well i dont think its that bad i like the story. Still ODST is my all time favourite

they were actually announced that they weren't marines.
That they were part of the Army, which is primarily a defensive military force. Kind of like the national guard, but for planets. same with the airforce.
The navy pretty much is the offensive military, and the army and airforce is the defenders (according to what bungie said)
now i have no idea what is going on with those marines in 4. looks to me like they downgraded their armor to goddamned plate carriers like we have now and bicycle helmets from their actual armor. Wtf

yea well i think the marines in reach look like 08/15 marines in almost all shooters they got nothing special anymore in my opinion. And i miss the cool odsts in reach

well I just try to think of the reach armor as an older downgraded model, before the UNSC upgraded. But everyone views it differently.
and i dont hope for much from halo now. 343 practically killed it for me. Gonna wait to read reviews on their next game before i buy it this time.
