"I always imagined them as like. . hyper enthusiastic furries. Y'know? Augmented ears and a tail and shit?"

The airlock hissed as the pressure stabilized.

"Turn your helmet mics to internal comms only, I'm not going to have any incidents when I'm aboard this ship, understood?" Rear Admiral Feltcher said turning to the two marine escorts

"Roger sir."

"Is it true the Terrans are 7 feet tall on average?"

"I hear they can lift twice as much weight as a normal person without augments."

"Do the red eyes really help them see in the dark??"

There was chatter among the bridge crew of the Imperial destroyer 'Yoi Kaze'. A younger Rear Admiral, Admiral Devosk of the fleet was the representative of Admiral Yin in the negotiations for a ceasefire. Their ship was to be held by Terran forces as a form of collateral in the few hours of a ceasefire while wounded and wrecks were taken care of. A drop of sweat dripped across his cheek as he straightened his uniform out, ignoring the chatter in the bridge, as officers put on simple light ballistic mesh vests and grabbed rifles for counter-boarding, more as a precaution than anything. The doors clicked and flew open and a trio of Terrans stood in the entry.
"P-pleasure to meet you Admiral. . Fletcher?" Devosk said, reaching out to shake

"Feltcher. . ." The Terran said, none too enthused, looking over the bridge.

After the end of the first battle, the Azen forces cleaned up, got their wounded loaded, and retreated back to their fort. Large swathes of territory were ceded to the Terrans without a shot fired to get this ceasefire, and the Admiralty of the fleet facing a backlash from the Emperor's inner circle. A lot was lost and nothing was gained. Only the Terrans came out of the first battle on top
