Description
The finished version of "The Appropriate Response", based on the Movie 9.A note on 1 and 7's Eye Colors: this is an intentional bit of alteration on my part. In the actual movie, the Stitchpunks all share a single eye color, a sort of bronze-yellow, but I rather came to like the idea of giving each their own distinct eye color to further differentiate them from each other. I thus based the eye colors on the Character Posters for the Movie, with 1 being gold, 2 being yellow, 3 and 4 being brown, 5 being orange, 6 being gray, 7 being blue, 8 being red, and 9 being green. And now you know. :3
As I said in the Artist's Comments of the b/w version, I wanna explain the idea behind this one a bit now that it's finished. However, to those who haven't seen the Movie, that means possible SPOILERS ahead. So I'll give anyone who wants to skip this Artist's Comment a chance to do so now.

OK. So. The idea here is that this is meant to take place prior to the Movie, and shows when 7 chose to leave the other Stitchpunks to find 3 and 4, who have gone missing (hence why their numbers have been X'd out on the calendar). 1, naturally, disapproves. I intend to make this into a full story soon, but for now, I hope you enjoy the pic. ^_^

You know, At first I didn't like 1. He had an incorrect view on sacrifice (reminded me of someone I knew at high school who thinks we should kill innocent people just to kill a group of terrorists). But at the end, he redeemed himself.

It seems awfully colorful for 9 but the drawing itself seems to capture the mood quite well.

I admit to the overly bright color-scheme; 7 especially came out MUCH brighter than I wanted. But they were the only colors I really had to work with at the time. Glad you think it still works, though.

I really love 1's expression here... you really captured that stubborn pride that defines him. 7's more pensive look is also great. And I like the eye colors!

The expressions for both characters, indeed for all the Stitchpunks, are such fun to draw because of the style in which they emote.
