Part 18 of the EPIC HALLOWEEN PROJECT has the two strongest warriors in the universe merge together...Sonic the Hedgehog (Son Goku) + Shadow the Hedgehog (Vegeta) = Sonadow (Vegetto)

Why did you name it sonadow? It sounds too much of a ship name what with the weirdness of the Sonic fan base. Just stick to shadic.

I like this one a lot still. It'stelling a lot with simple lines (and without color), great dynamic poses and faces.

This Project was actually finished a long time ago; I never delved into the Movies, including the Fusion Dance incarnation of a Sonic/Shadow fusion.

I think Sonadow fans are all right with this; you didn't feel compelled to aggressively state how it's not about the pairing. Let's just hope you don't attract any merging fetishists.

Indeed it was, and quite fun to conceive, too. ^_^ In b/w it's not so clear, but my vision for "normal" Sonadow!VEgetto would be Sonic with Shadow's red markings and chest puff. As for their minds, I imagine we'd get the middle ground between the two of them...quite a dangerous warrior, come to think of it.
And I didn't feel the need to address that it's "not Sonadow" because, hell, it kind of IS. Not romantic per se (though, as discussed, when it comes to Shipping ALL interactions in the relationship count, explicitly romantic or not), but it certainly has an element to it that fits the concept interestingly. ^^

...the way I write Sonic, that'd be the Ultimate Golden Hearted Jerk or something... And would combine Sonic's instinct and speed with Shadow's tactics and Chaos channeling, holy crud. And neither of them would fold as long as they were conscious.
The line between friendship and romance is in some cases a blurry one, and in all cases more of a sliding scale than anything. I can like platonic images of couples I like better than "romantic" ones, especially in the cases of Sonadow, where fans of the pairing often sexualize it to a degree that puts me off, either that or the focus on romance kills the usual spark in the interaction.

Like I said, not someone you'd want to cross. ;3 Though given Shadow's more arrogant moments and Sonic's general cockiness, I also imagine this Sonadow would be kind of a braggart, though one who could very much back up his wildest boasts. XD
And as always, very well put. ^^ I too find "platonic" moments to be just as Romantically engaging, in their way, as more traditional "sexy" ones, though I also believe there is a real, meaningful significance to the "sexy" moments if they are done correctly.

On the other hand, you'd have to wonder if he'd also lack patience and attention span, be prone to mood swings and brooding... And be in a state of constant inner conflict.
Yeah, don't get me wrong, the sexy moments are part of it too and can be quite lovely! (The SonShad short I have up is 2/3 erotica, so there you go.) It's just that given the ratio of sexy to platonic among the art, I'm starved for the latter. And then there's the fact that a lot of the "sexy" stuff shoehorns them into staples that don't fit them IMO.

And my thinking when doing Ship art is to strive for something compelling; platonic, Romantic, what have you. It just needs to make me feel like this represents an important truth about who these characters are and how they relate to each other.

you know id imagine it to be the other way round with gogeta and vegito with fusion dance it goes goku's name then vegeta's but the with vegito it goes vegeta's name then goku's same with gotenks but ohwell this isnt dbz so the same rules dont have to apply
