I literally just found this on the frontpage in the middle of drawing and it sorted out my problem. I think upper body proportionality is a tutorial I haven't seen much of, so I'll request that.

Your point about the 2nd and 3rd fingers being different lengths reminded me of my biology class waaaaay back in high school when we were discussing genetic markers like tongue curling, hair on the fingers, being able to taste a certain chemical. One of the markers mentioned was about the index and ring finger; on some people they're the same length and on others they're not. Mine aren't the same length, but my brother's are! Genetics is so fun!

2nd finger is shorter than the middle one, but measuring the 2nd finger and the ring finger is a bit tricky.

I avoid hands at all costs usually... gotta say, mine aren't the best for modeling. I have second and third fingers (index, etc) the same length, and crooked pinkies
