oh boy here we go again lmao
my new job is super exhausting physically (i work overnight shifts at a warehouse), and as of right now these little headshot things are all i can kinda manage to draw because i’m too tired to focus on one big piece, or really anything that requires extended periods of time. idk i’ll eventually get into a new routine and it’ll get easier.

1.) RainWing - Python: an aggressive, violent male dragon who surprisingly wasn’t raised in the jungle with his own tribe.
As an egg, he was sold to a SandWing merchant who brought him to the Sand Kingdom. Hoping to impress Princess Burn, the merchant offered to sell the RainWing egg as he knew of their highly toxic venom, and Burn’s fascination with the unusual.
She accepted, but killed the other SandWing. She wasn’t going to pay for something she could just take for free.
After Python hatched, he was used only for his venom and never really experienced any sort of common decency or affection. It was when Burn saw him shift his scale colors and play attack with a stuffed lion that she realized his potential as a living weapon, much like how Scarlet had Peril.
She personally trained the RainWing dragonet, and as you could imagine, it was brutal.

2.) SeaWing - Reef: a charismatic, surface-friendly SeaWing who works as a secret assassin. His main occupation is being a head chef for the royal family, and he often offers his services to the Queen, who never passes up the chance to take down her enemies.

He’s most famous for poisoning the food of possible challengers to the throne, or literally anyone who catches the Queen in a bad mood.
It’s no concern of his who he kills, as long as he keeps his job and continues to live in luxury.

3.) SkyWing - Andesine: a seductive, cunning female SkyWing from one of the many poor villages in the Sky Kingdom during Queen Scarlet’s reign.
She grew up watching her mother struggle to raise a large family of young dragonets, with no father or help, and promised herself to make a difference whenever she could.
Prostitution was common among lower class dragons, and as an adult she learned how to manipulate clients into giving her more treasure. That, or she would just steal while they weren’t looking, and she wasn’t above drugging either.
However, the vast majority of the treasure she took she donated to orphanages and gave to other families suffering through hardships due to their social status.
No dragonet would go hungry while she was here.

4.) SandWing - Lion: a short-tempered, impulsive male SandWing who works as a royal guard.
Originally nothing more than a cruel bully and a street thief, he managed to weasel his way into working for the royal family through connections he made in the Scorpion Den. Lion has no interest in serving the queen or helping the general public, he mainly uses his position of power to get what he wants when he wants it.
No one dares to speak up because for one, he could easily arrest them without reason and secondly, he’s a very skilled fighter.

5.) IceWing - Brisk: a materialistic, rich noble who really only cares about her royal family and the reputation of her tribe.
She grew up thinking every other tribe was inferior, and she has a specific distaste for lower circle IceWings as she was once a low ranking dragon, and she refuses to associate with them out of fear others will view her differently. She will do anything to distance herself from her past.

6.) NightWing - Lightfinder: an introverted, gentle NightWing seer who unfortunately lost her vision during a raid on her village as a dragonet.
The loss of her eyesight was devastating to her, but for whatever reason it seemed to make her omens more clear and strong. Others dragons became aware of her gift, including the queen, and eventually Lightfinder found work as the queen’s personal seer.
She loved her life, as she was finally able to provide for her parents and siblings, but it all crumbled when the benevolent NightWing queen was murdered and a new ruler stepped up, one that intended to use Lightfinder as the ultimate asset for personal gain.

I love how all of them seem to have a negative backstory, but then Lightseer has a sort of positive one until the end...
