Wowee, Cadsuane is perfect! Merise is too pretty and sympathetic looking, though. She is supposedly handsome of face and very stern, and wears her hair pulled severely back.

As for Merise, I honestly didn't remember how she wears her hair when I drew this. And yeah, she's on the pretty side, but oh well. I liked her too much to change her. Sorry 'bout that.

(and to think, I never did want to draw Alanna because I have disliked her ever since she bonded Rand against his will. Proves just how sneaky the woman is, she even drew herself in Merise's place, apparently.

I don't like all Red Aes Sedai. I just like the cool ones (Tarna, Tsutama, Pevara, Teslyn, and even Katerine and Bonwhin)...

Verin is made of epic awesome. Cadsuane is great as a character too, but I usually find her as infuriating as Nynaeve and Rand do.

You should consider posting a smaller then full size image of this in the dragonmount.com gallery. With a link to the bigger picture of course here at DA. This is better then any other drawing of Cadsuane that I have ever seen. 104 views is not enough for this master piece.

No I mean just post a preview picture. Sorta like the size that your picture is now at, before I have to click on it in DA to make it bigger. Post that smaller one at dragonmount then put a comment telling people that they can see a bigger size at DA. You don't need to change anything on the DA picture.
DA has three sizes. The first preview size. Then a bigger size when I click on it. Then the download option. BTW I don't mean the super small thumbnail size.

That you did! I'm glad you did not picture Cadsuane 'old' looking... She's Aes Sedai after all and some people tend to make her look like a grand mother... I really like how you captured her ageless look!

thank you for the lovely comment! Cadsuane portrayed as a grandmother? then clearly someone hasn't been paying attention to all the descriptions of the Aes Sedai 'ageless' look (though I don't know how that is possible - it's mentioned at least twice in each book

Haha! Well, I think it's probably because Cadsuane is so OLD (well, for an Aes Sedai at least) it's kind of hard for some people (and I must admit it is for me, too) to picture her without one wrinkle.

I think it might also be the gray hair and the bun. because some of the Wise Women are older. Not to mention Sorilea of the Aiel... or that freed damane Rand keeps with him, Alivia.
