Description
Kamarile Maradim Nindar, Graendal of the Forsaken.from the Wheel of Time series, by Robert Jordan
This is an old drawing, but I decided to submit it anyway, because Graendal is my favourite female Forsaken. Love her manipulative and debauched ways.
I used a Greek actress as reference for Graendal, because she just fits her.

I think I have to say I actually liked Lanfear, hated her so much I liked her. She was rather, twisted and sneaky in her own ways, and let her jealousy defeat her more than once, but my favorite char was Moraine. I was so sad when she died. *sniff sniff* Matt is my favorite guy char though he never gets enough credit for anything, poor guy. Now, on your artwork, I think you hit the nail on the head when you drew Graendal, beautiful and deceptive and it shows it all in just her look. AWESOMENESS!!!

Thank you so much, you're so kind!
I liked Lanfear too - liked to hate her, she was an awesome villain! She's not as amazing now, but Moridin has her on such a short leash, the truth is we haven't seen her that much.
Moiraine was awesome, yes. Rand would've been so much better with her by his side.

She looks a bit like Amber Benson. Hey - I think I got a candidate to the list on who should play her in the possible film adaptation, because damn!

thank you!
I had to google Amber Benson - I had no idea who she was - and then I was like 'oh cool, that vampire from supernatural'!

Hahah. She's in Buffy too. But she's not a vampire there. Which made it hilarious, for me, to see that Supernatural episode.

I am sad to admit that I've never watched Buffy (only a bit of Angel), because when it was on in my country it was shown by a channel that wouldn't broadcast in my area. I used to be insanely jealous of my cousins that lived in Athens, lol.
But yeah, seeing actors from one show in another show in, sometimes, ironically conflicting roles? Makes me laugh every time. (Mark Pellegrino for example - being 'God' in Lost and then the devil in Supernatural? Love it! )

That sucks. But that's what DVD's are for. If you like Supernatural, you'll probably enjoy Buffy too. (But SPN is better, at least to me.)
Oh, I know, I love that. It's like the guy who plays Uther in Merlin. He, too, was in Buffy, where he played a man who used to be a magician. That makes it very funny every time Uther says "Magic" with utter contempt.

really? lol, yeah, I can imagine.
I've been thinking of maybe actually watching Buffy... But I've got lots of other series on my plate right now. At some point, perhaps...
(I don't think *any* series is ever going to top Supernatural for me in the, well, supernatural series department... That series is just amazing! )

I think such a face suits her image. Good.
Can I use it for dark-colored version? Or maybe you can make a coloured version?

Thank you, glad you like it!
I'm not very good with colour I'm afraid, but you're welcome to colour it if you like, so long as you credit the sketch to me and link back to it. I'd love to see how it'll turn out!

You like Gaendal? I actually prefer Semirhage! "Lady of pain" sounds just creepy.
This is an excellent portrayal of our lusty Forsaken. Her face is exquisite!
IMHO her boobs should be a bit bigger, since it's stated in the books that she is very buxom.

Semirhage completely freaks me out. It's not that I don't like her - it's more that I am scared shitless of her.
hmmm yes you're right about her breast, I think. I tried, but failed with the shadowing there.

Who's your favourite male Forsaken? I prefer Be'lal to all others! It's a shame he's been killed so easily.
I would just accent the curving line of Graendal's breasts next time. It will make them look ample.

thanks for the tip!
My favourite male Forsaken are Samael, Asmodean (he was a coward but I can't help liking him! ) and Demandred, in that order.
I liked Be'lal a lot from the little we got to see of him.

Sammael is mostly a buffoon, but he can be interesting. And his best idea was to offer peace to Rand, which produced a great scene in the book.
Demandred is way too mysterious for me to like him (he's great, but I am tired of suspecting people being him).
Asmodean is nice, but unfortunately dead.
My second favourite male Forsaken would be Ishamael. There is a great encounter between him and Rand in the latest book. Quite philosophical.

Ishamael is awesome, no argument about that. But he scares me.

Ah, Graendal. The moment I saw the bit from her point of view in the Prologue of Towers of Midnight I knew she had escaped Rand's balefire.
Though I'm quite upset about Aran'gar - she was also my favourite!

I don't know. I liked Moghedien. Aran'gar disturbed me. and it thoroughly upset me that Graendal escaped.

LOL, no Aran'gar was awesome! A womanizer turned into a woman who learned how to use his womanly wiles to perfection in order to distract everyone around him (her?) from his true purposes?
It amuses me to no end.
Moghedien is alright, though I did find her sneaky ways quite creepy.

What is a Spider if not creepy? lol. And the womanizer into a woman is what disturbed me. lol. And the fact that he/she could just as easily seduce men as well as women and the fact that his/her present gender affected that.....idk......Aran'gar is just odd. lol.

The womanizer made into a woman was clearly the Dark One's sick and twisted humour, in my opinion.
ah, well. I just love the twisted weirdness that was Aran'gar.
