Description (Note: this is an update to an original drawing that I submitted year ago.)

A Pzkpfw-IV Ausf-A during Operation ‘Fall Weiss’ (the invasion of Poland) in September 1939. Although not apparent, its possesses a
two tone color scheme having a base coat of dark gray (dunkelgrau Nr.46) with 1/3 of the surface painted in hard-edged cloud-like
patterns of dark brown (dunkelbraun Nr. 45). Markings consist of a fairly large white tactical number ‘344’ stenciled on the turret sides
and rear, and a large solid white balkankreuz painted on the turret sides. Only during the Polish campaign did the Germans use these
large solid white crosses, this feature was changed when enemy anti-tank guns used the symbol as a target, after the Polish campaign
the center of all crosses were stenciled in black or a simple white outline was used.
