Agree completely with Moon-Pirate... I have a tablet, but the thing is so small that it's super-hard to make it work with the screen, so a lot of times I use the mouse instead. This is awesome, since I'm trying to start painting digitally and didn't have much of a clue where to get started in applying techniques I already knew for photomanipulation. Thank you so much!

I am the owner of a website that is already pretty large we have 996 members and still growing daily. I was wondering if it would be possible to post this image on my website of course I will link back to your deviantart page. I would never claim this amazing tutorial as mine! If you say no then you have my word that I will not upload it. The website makes no profit what so ever.
Many thanks again for your awesome tutorial!

wow I now feel like I may be able to produce something worthy of DA, the one problem is that everything takes so fucking long to colour on photoshop so I usually have tons of half finished images scattered around

yeah it just takes a looooot of patience. when you get tired it's either you leave a half-finished work, or you just finish it all up in a rush (like me )

How do you get such smooth lineart? I can get quite a lot of detail through huge pictures but I have yet to produce a fine line

Another useful tip is to create lineart in Microsoft Paint making use of the Curve tool First create a basic lineart in a different color besides black, then use the curve tool by clicking one part of a curve on the lineart then dragging the line over to another part of the curve and click again to bring the curve out round the curve on the lineart. I dunno how well I've explained this, but its what I use to create smooth linearts in my images.

oh, i haven't tried that yet, as i'm too lazy to switch between platforms maybe i'll try your style too and if i grow comfortable with it, i'll make something using it. thanks!
