Another to add to my "Close ups" phase that I'm going through.
I bit of a style change this time, but keeping with the theme
As usual, the image is huge, so feel free to hit download and have a look fullsize if you like.
I was going to use Illustrator for this, but I ended up just working straight over the sketch in photoshop instead.
I'll probably play with a few more things at a later date, (adjust/change some of the colours, plus shades/highhlights) and maybe do a more realistic style version of this too.

Sometimes shaking things up, well, for me, inspires me to do something more with my work. Especially if I'm having artist block.
And I also have things floating around in my crazy mind that scream in wanting just to get out. So, you just have to run with it, and let go. Letting your mind, and hands do all the talking... Lol! Usually the result (such as this piece) is worth letting yourself wander away from the norm.
Thank goodness whatever came over you, made you create this beautiful piece of art work!

This is really beautiful! I really like the contrast of all the colors of her hair against the graytone ray background. It is really neat how they are all nice, bold and bright colors. If they where graidient-ed too much they would probably melt too much into the background, so they are really good the way they are. I like the Close Up style. Maybe the fuzzy glow on the face is a thowing it off a little since everything else is so hard edged and crisp? I dunno, overall I really love it!

This is a rather extraordinary piece. The contrast of the vibrant colours against the staunch dark background really compliment the piece overall. Keep up the good work! :]

I was trying to get across a mix of things all at the same time with this one. Strong bright happy colours, mixed with a darker undertone to it aswell.

Well the pic didn't load full size for me but initially the color is what grabbed me. The piece has kind of an Art Nouveau feel which is cool.
