Description For anyone who may be curious, here's a ref sheet of orca-Starscream's complete markings. With notations for those studied in the design of killer whale OCs. And to indicate what was borrowed from his robot form and transposed to this design.

Will be scrapped later, as I've decided that is to become my policy with my ref sheets.

Those dorsal/ventral outlines turned out better than I thought they would. But they are not, by any means, perfect.

Starscream is Hasbro's, not mine. *sad face*

Sorry, but it seems pretty redundant to do that. I gave my word that you're welcome to draw his old design when you please, not 'adopt' him. Technically, he is Hasbro's, not mine. But the credit for his designs as an orca are mine.

Only because I love Prime Starscream so did I ever bother with this concept. And I'm glad I did, especially to know there are others who approve of the idea.

Blitz is easily my favorite Animated character, too.

While great to know his design is liked, by at least a few people, I'm still waiting for someone to call me loco for doing this. But maybe that's just my paranoia talking.

This is funny. I think more so as you... kinda... unintentionally... made him female with such a short dorsal *snicker snort* It's shaped like a males, but is the size of a females.

As I said, I was surprised the dorsal/ventral views turned out that nice [considering I hashed them out at 2 AM, freehand; but I didn't clean up the lines of the rostrum like I should have ]. I saved the outline of that step as well, for future use. If you should need it, I'll be happy to lend it to you.

Its a shame how many are that 2nd one. You politely ask them how they managed an effect, or how they get anatomy well, etc and a lot of them ignore you completely or refuse to help. I guess some of them feel "threatened" by someone else "competing" with them using their techniques, or something.

Could be. I know I'm trying to avoid becoming one of those artists. Ergo, I answer every comment I get. Growing popularity doesn't mean I'm on any higher a plane than those who visit my gallery, and if anyone wants advice from me, I'll always give the best help I can.

My question to those artists would be: where's the fun in knowingly isolating yourself from those who you put your work up to be appreciated by?

I answer every comment, and every question as best I can. I don't understand those who think they're "above" their fans because they're "better" at artwork than they are. That attitude bothers me. I don't understand it either =/

You've done a pretty good job iterating the character... it's a small detail, but I love his tail-fin design.

Thank you, Latice. I did what I could without making him look foolish (as that's part of his behavior, not physical appearance). And I'll be honest, the tail-fin marks weren't all that thought out. But I knew couldn't just give him any old fluke pattern. Hence, the "steel toed" tips - something that alludes to those high-heeled boots.
