hmm. I've never used custom brushes...
must investigate, could save me a lot of work.

I hated custom brushes too, but I found that when working on high detailed pieces they're a gift from heaven. It takes some time and some tweaking, but once you have a set done, you're in the game. It's surely worth investigating.
