Description ...What the heck is this? I should be doing homework!

Ok, this idea has been bugging me for a while so I finally had to knock it out. Inked last night and colored this morning.

I loved how in Oshii's GITS movies Batou was always giving the Major his jacket; it's something I wish they had done in the TV series more, it was sweet. So here is my "extended" version of the last scene in 'Solid State Society'.

(lol...probably makes no sense to anyone who isn't familiar w/ Ghost in the Shell and all it's incarnations...have some Batou/Major fluff anyways)

Going for the faux-screenshot look. I think it turned out pretty nice. PAINT TOOL SAI IS THE BEST INKING PROGRAM EVER.

Thank you! Every once in a while I'll find a good piece of 'Ghost in the Shell' art, but there really isn't a lot, which is a shame because it's a great show. I should do more myself...

Ah, I see. Well if you liked the movies I definitely reccomend the TV show; there's two seasons and both are excellent.

Their relationship is always an interesting topic for GITS fans, and although it seems that Batou has feelings for her, personally I think it's deeper than just a romance. Major is his leader, mentor and partner, but more over, she is his friend.

It's very nice to see your piece, it's a reminder for every one that GITS isn't just an action anime. It has depth and philosophy about live, and probably... err... love?

I agree with you 100% on all counts there.
That's certainly the great thing about Ghost in the Shell, it has a little bit of every genre: action, drama, mystery, philosophy, social commentary...the list goes on. And everything is multi-layered, from the plots, to the characters, and their relationships with each other.
