Thought I'd show you all my desktop pic.It's a pic of the two superfighters from Ace Combat 5 (AWESOME game!). The two on the sides are ADF-01 Falkens and the middle one is the mighty X-02 Wyvern. These planes are hard to get in the game but they RULE!
Thanks to Sparrow Scratchbuilt [link] (I think that's the name) for producing this amazing image. They rule!

If you had AC4 save data you only needed to complete ONE mission to unlock the X-02 in AC Zero. Sweet deal if you ask me. Btw, nice pic.

I though that was all planes in Ace Combat Zero except the X-02 Wyvern.

I guess I should try Ace Combat 5. I've only played H.A.W.X. and it's sequel...which I found the sequel's story and selection lacking.

HAWX 2 was a horrible failure in terms of living up to the original. Ace Combat 4, 5, 0 and 6 are fantastic. The first three are only on PS2 though.

I agree fully. H.A.W.X. 2 was lacking and failed to live up to the original however the only good thing I liked about it was being able to take off and land.

I have Ace Combat 6, but 5 will always be my favorite.
Honeslty I think they should make an engine to where you could customize the looks of your planes... Like the downloadable content planes you could buy for Ace Combat 6.

I agree that it is a shame that there wasn't multiplayer for it or online play, but don't forget that online play for the Ps2 basically was a no go... People didn't really use that option and stayed in solo play or split screen
Eh I didn't really like HAWX That much... I don't know why because I mean the plight simulation engine on Hawx was basically the same as the Ace Combat series.... i guess I just didn't like the feel of the gameplay on it.... I don't know I'm weird like that

I somehow just unlocked it... being the hardcore Ace Combat fan I am... I played and played and played until I got all the aircraft, went ahead and tested them on each mission and then boom... apparently I racked up so many points to the point that it just unlocks it without having to go through the Ace missions (Really fun difficulty). I also recall that I managed to get the FALKEN unlocked one day and then the next day I somehow got the Wyvern. It looks real badass in all three of its skins. It was a while back ago but I still remember since Ace Combat really brought more color into my life.

Zero and 5 were the two best ones! I think the latest 3 PS2 versions have their own strengths.
Best Superweapons: AC4 (gotta love the Stonehenge)
Best Overall Storyline: AC5
Best Aircraft Selection and Multiplayer: AC0
The Wyvern appeared in those three, plus the PSP game ACX.

AC4 is Shattered Skies, but depending on where you live it may be Distant Thunder (in places like Australia). Unsung War is alternately known by its less cool title of 'Squadron Leader'.

Alsome i always liked the falken and wyvern. And i like those furturistic aircraft that he built the R-103 and X-49 and he gave me my favorite color to the falken pitchblack.
