I was surprised to find this is very similar to the way i paint digitally! But yours has a much better result!
Whats up with that? XD
Although i do tend to add random colors to things i I THINK would look right, im working on fixing that because i think it creates too much discord in my work. I also always want to make everything heavily saturated all the time for some reason.
Ah thanks for posting this it gave me better insight into my own work.

FFFF you're amazing 8'| <3
This is pretty much exactly the way I do shading too, when I do digital painting anyway. Most of the time in my pics I cheat and just duplicate layers, make it darker then erase away from it U_U
I think the most important part is knowing how to apply the technique lol
I'm still working that out x'D

can you find out what is the minimum size for your brush ? :0
like when you apply least pressure , what is the size (the percentage of it compared to the actual brush size ?)
Because your lines , instead of being sharp and tiny , they look kinda blob-ish . Even when they're at the point where you apply less pressure . :0

griffsnuff In reply to puinkey [2010-11-05 13:26:58 +0000 UTC]
thats because i put pressure at the end xD
my smallest size is 1 i think, but then i have to be really light with the pen, but i never do that, then i usually just do it manually.
Other than that its size is usually 10 or five if i do small pictures like this.
