I'm using Photoshop Elements 10 and when I draw the red lines scribbled all over the drawing, and I use the Magic Eraser tool to get rid of them, it deletes the "lineart" red lines, leaving white gaps where the red lineart was. Like, it deletes the scribbles and the red outline, leaving white blanks where they were through the drawing.

Forget that comment acually. >.< I tried scribbling on it with the red, but when I deleted the red, parts of my character came out too.

Hey Griff?
I'm using Photoshop Elements and there is no "select" tool. Only a tool to click and drag something around the canvus. So I got to the part when I scribble red pencil all over it, but it's not letting me select it and delete the red...
Do you happen to know a Photoshop Elements friendly way to do the same affect?

griffsnuff In reply to Smokey-Doodle [2012-04-13 16:28:40 +0000 UTC]
If you select all, you can remove all the lines if you go to the pencil tool box open that and click on the white square with the red diagonal line on it

Hi, sorry to bother but for some reason bucket tool doesn't fill for me :c
I have my draw already but it doesnt fill in some parts of the draw. I'm using CS5
Do you know maybe what it could be? I already checked all the lines were connected.

griffsnuff In reply to rebooking [2012-04-02 03:18:42 +0000 UTC]
its because the lines probably arent 100% connected, if you zoom in, there is a tiny icon when you have the bucket tool chosen that can let you fill with small gaps and so on

can you get this same effect with photoshop CS5? i've tried doing this the hard way before but i never knew you could do it like this, because in photoshop idk if it gets everything colored in with the bucket. huh
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
griffsnuff In reply to Jahpan [2012-02-18 01:54:03 +0000 UTC]
No this does not work in any photoshop xD but you can draw lineless art if you want, but the redline thingy does not work. You can color with a bucket if you use solid colors, but as long as there is feathering it will look ugly.

You can also select the entire image and then change the line fill to blank and that will get rid of the lines quicker.

THIS is such a helpful tutorial, it makes lineless stuff so easy! fhsdfjhfh <3
but one question: how do you change the opacity of the bucket tool? I tried doing what looked like opacity, and it worked for the brush, but when i try to fill stuff in with the bucket (on a low opacity) it just makes everything a solid color of that purple. (for shading)
lol I hope that's not too confusing the way i explained it xD
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
griffsnuff In reply to Sulfate-free [2012-01-09 18:18:27 +0000 UTC]
Um well to make shading in this way you dont need opacity xD you just choose all the colors yourself. Because if you uce opacity it wont work the same way as in other programs, you will get the whole area half transparant.
