REMEMBER this tecnique only works with flash as far as i know of.If you want to try flash you can download a 30 verson trial of the program if you search up adobe flash Cs3 trial version( its really expensive to buy)

Does the outline have to be pencil? Can it be a brush?

Okay, this looks REALLY simple, but how big is the Flash file? I'm just not sure about downloading Flash in case it makes my stupid laptop go all slooow... 
Is there like an online version or something like that? Cuz that wud be great.

If you have a very cheap or slow computer, flash isnt the best program to get xD It takes alot of effort from the laptop, but you can download a 30 day free trial at Adobe.com i think

I accidentally did the line work with the paint tool. Is there a way to convert it to pencil? Or do I have to do it again?

Okay so I have 1 maybe 2 issues. What sort of file is this? I opened "Flash File (Actionscript 3.0)" and I have no idea if that's right xD
If it is right, then when I opened it the tools were different along with the layout sort of and there's no "BAD STUPID THING" that I'm pretty sure I need?
If I could get a little help that would be great ._.

I always use a Actionscript 3.0 file xD It doesnt really matter that its for actionscript because you are exporting it as a image.
I do not know what your layout looks like, but if you have a diffrent version than Cs3 it might be located somewere else, just try and open and close windows in the window option

Erm...I'm having a problem with shading, why doesn't it sort of...blend with the colours like yours? Mine just goes over it and makes it look awful xD

all the shading colors are hand picked like the rest xD like if I have a blueish shadow, i handpick a diffrent tone for each of the markings.

i really do not understand the bucket thing if i fill an image it is not filled good, there is still white left inside >

Its because you have the connecting button on wide, you have to make the tiny cirlces hole smaller or no holes
( the button is the thing pointed on in the third picture, you can change that)

you can do this in illustrator too :3 except in illustrator it involves the paths and live trace tool. which are pretty much the pencil tool and fill bucket lol. not too much different
