Hey there Just wanted to say that I absolutely adore your art and I greatly appreciate your tutorials. It warms my heart when talented artist devote their time to teaching others. I found this tutorial particularly interesting since I have some huge difficulties with sketching. I've taught myself the highly technical skeleton method where you draw an advanced stick figure complete with rib cage, pelvis and all the joints for legs. This works for profile shots. However, when drawing any other pose, I get incredibly discouraged and confused. This has really been killing art for me. I think I'm making things too technical and serious. I love your tutorials and seeing your art process. I'm starting to think that maybe something similar would work for me as well. Sorry for the long post, just wanted to let you know what I think.

Thank you so much! Iam glad that it is of help! And I totally know the feeling when it comes to smooth and really detailed sketches, I usually give up before im done. So I ended up being more of a speedpainted on things and it made me a lot more happy creating art

Yeah I definitely know what you mean. I've been trying to draw so technical and detailed stuff that I simply don't know how to let go anymore.

Hey there. I've done a drawing that heavily references the top poses in this tutorial, and I was wondering if it was okay if I posted it to my DA? ((Because even though I referenced the pose, I'm still kinda proud of how dynamic it looks. Now if only I could get my own stuff to look dynamic without heavy referencing. Ah well, I guess that's what practice is for))

sometimes my friends ask me to try and teach them to draw. When I do, I stress the sketching part. I personaly love sketching, it helps me get my idea out and come up with new ones. Plus I think it makes the process of creating art a little easier.

I always have trouble with sketching and anatomy placement. I usually jump straight to the hard lines, which as I know, is a mistake, but it's a bad habit. Hopefully with using your tutorials I can begin to sketch more often! Thank you for all of these helpful tutorials, truly.

I find sketching is the most important part of my drawing process, I use it to outline where my detail will be and to shape my picture. I work more on the sketch then I would on the actual artwork majority of the time.

Hmm, my sketches look like my baby cousin drew them with a crayon (I'm not saying they weren't drawn by my baby cousin with a crayon; credit where credit is due). Perhaps I should go back and do the line tutorial again (or I should force my assistant sketcher to do the line tutorial)...

This does indeed help!
Sometimes it's easy to forget how simplistic the process of drawing can be, and this is a good reminder in just relaxing about it~
