Description
Update on Sept 1st 2013: I remade the tutorial almost completely because the old one kinda sucked. If anyone is interested about the old version it's here: i.imgur.com/VrFRPVE.jpgSince I get asked about which tool I used a lot, this improved version is done with the basic brush tool.
Whew
Anyway, when ~Rustic-Moonlit-Rose commented that the fire in raycrystal.deviantart.com/art/β¦ looks amazing I said that tutorials could help her but she said that there aren't any for Sai really and I noticed that too so I thought I could make one since I like drawing fire
So yeah... I hope it's good
By the way, I used the watercolor tool (like I always do).
Since people are asking about it, the settings I use are 0 for blending, 50 for dilution, 80 for persistence.
EDIT: Holy f--- O_O I wake up in the morning and what do I find...? 2000 faves!!! +40 watchers more
EDIT2: ...omg. A DD? I can't believe it, oh my god thank you so much!!!! O_O *does not know what to say*

DON'T BUY PAINT TOOL SAI! Free trial works fine, but the purchased product requires you to complete the installation on your own; the product does not self-install lke every other software I have ever downloaded. SAI support staff instructed me to do ths: > > > > - Let us know the path of your SAI's program folder. > > > > (For example: "C:\tools\PaintToolSAI") > > > > > > > > - Let us know "Link Target" of the shortcut of "PaintTool SAI Ver.1" on Desktop. > > > > ("Link Target" is written in property of shortcut) > > > > > > > > 1. Right click "PaintTool SAI Ver.1". > > > > 2. Click "Property" on context menu. > > > > 3. See "Link Target". > > > > > > > > - Let us know the current system ID of your PC. I followed the instructions, but my PC did not have the "Link Target" option, so the install never worked, and I was not given a refund. ASK OTHER REVIEWERS IF THEY ARE USING THE FULL PRODUCT, OR JUST THE FREE TRIAL

I know I'm a bit late in replying but I use SAI and its perfectly fine. Could you tell me where you bought it from? I remember buying it from a different website from where I got the trial and it has working amazingly since.Β

I have a problem: when I paint with orange in a luminosity it paints it white... Don't know why that is...

Yea, It happens when you keep painting in the same spot if it's on luminosity

this kind of a late reply, but you can try using overlay, that might work.
