very very very basic step by step how i create lips. nothing fancy at all and i'm no means an expert on anatomy (yet). this method works for me and maybe it could help others too.

oh if you have a hard time reading the "tips" i've written down let me know and i can adjust it.

multiple layers are definitely useful for trying different things and getting familiarized with a process but the end goal should probably being able to do everything on one layer.

4 layers for lips. Wow. I could see myself ending up with like 100 layers and totally confusing myself.

some people do just layers upon layers upon layers, i can't do it either lol. i'll merge layers as i go, when i achieve whatever look i was going for.
