My third Tutorial.
This is kinda like the second part of the Head Tutorial, here i show how to draw the body. This one is larger than the previous one, and i made 2 or 3 mistakes, i hope no one notice them.................
The point of this tutorial is to show how to make your own pixel character, from your fav anime character or Oc.
The base is 50x30 so it can be used as an Avatar/Icon.
Anyway, the guy i like likes that character (Kagami, from lucky star) Its gonna be a Valentines present (im making an animation or something with her). Since i was putting some effort on making her, i decided to make a tutorial on how i was drawing her.
That means.. Please dont copypaste and upload the result as your own "creation". Try making your own characters

Edit: I made this tutorial back in 2008 I was new at pixels back then :> i know this has many mistakes and that theres better tutorials out there. (for the peeps who pointed it out via comments) But look at this as a super simple beginners guide made by a begginner at the time..

the pixeling in this tutorial is varry geometric and dosn't show to much creativity (just my opinion)
also, most of what you explained was obveous and if anything it looks like you just set up new artests to think inside the box.

Folloring the tutorial is up to each person.
There are many pixel tutorials here, depending on the persons need.
I guess mine can be labeled as "basic and easy for beginners". lol.
Besides its not like im saying "this is THE ONLY AND CORRECT way to do it" , im just showing the way I do it.
And ive gotten replies from people who never did a pixel before, for them (beginners) it was very helpfull.
Im satisfied with that. :>

I made that tutorial almost 2 years ago. Ive improved a lot since then, but at that time that was the way i did pixels. I guess thats the main reason it looks like that.
I know that there are people that draw a way better than me, but im not the person that does not try or do things because of the fear of feeling inferior/doing it wrong.
I like getting this kind of comments.
Its the kind that makes me remember the porpuse of the things i di and that i still have a long way.

I'm currently working on an RPG game for a school assignment and since I just finished my tileset, I went to work on the characters but.. I didn't know how! This is an awesome base to start with, I would never have thought of it. I won't show you my pixel princess yet, but when all the characters are finished I'll put them on dA (together with tileset) and then I'll post a link here for you

If your going to to a complete RPG game sprites (front, sides, attacks, walking) your going to need a bit more than just a front tutorial.
I recomend you check some videogame sprites/icons/gifs to see how the steps and poses work. It will give you a better idea of how to do your own.
