Description
I apologize for the typos and things, i had to flatten as I carried on for fear of a cosmic crashing and losing all my work. so some things I havent been able to go back and touch on.its very general on purpose.
i dont like it when tutorials show how to do things too specifically, unless its showing step by step how a PIECE was done.
I do however think its important to learn from others. take some from this, some from your own experiences as well as referencing other works/ tutorials and life.
thats how one will develop a unique style based on all the stimuli other artists and the world has to offer.
kapish?
Feel free to share this by linking to it.
also if you do artwork that you think this tutorial helped you with feel free to drop a link here or write a note to tell us about it. we will probably fav it
this was done over several hours in photoshop, with my handy dandy digicam, taking photos of my hand with a great deal of difficulty XD

The wedge shape was something I hadn't quite thought of. That'll help. I can usually look at the lines if I have one in front of me, but "building" them from scratch is harder. This brings attention to a few details too, that make it easier to look for the right lines on real hands.

This is random I know but...your hands look identical to mine o.O
It's like our hands our twins.
I'm a very random person I know -_-; Sorry if I've offended you with my randomness.
lol before I forget this is a helpful tutorial in the very least because it corrected the way I position the webbing between the fingers.

YOu're a star! Sorry if I sound stupidly extatic. Everyone seems to have some profound knowledge about drawing. I have been a portraitist for 7 years, but honestly - this is so-o-o-o interesting. Better than going to school!

A very good tutorial. This is underrated in my opinion. Some other ones that aren't as helpful actually get over 2000 favorites... that's something I don't understand well.
You don't mind if I take this to translate it for some poor chinese artists who can't even get a decent hand tutorial online easily, do you?

My pinky is a bit more crooked than yours. It also has a bunch of wierd fatty loose skin around it, and has a huge bump in the middle of it where the knuckle is. Sometimes, I am tempted to break my pinkies so that I can get them re-set to look normal.
Also, this is awesome and I will bookmark it for future reference.
