Wizard Howl from Studio Ghibli's Howl's Moving Castle
MEDIA- A4 Paper, 2B pencil, 0.2 waterproof fineliner, watercolour paints, watercolour pencils, soft pastels and titanium white acrylic paint.
TIME- About 12 hours. (There's a crazy amount of layers in the foreground, the flowers have about fourteen -.-)
Any questions about technique or media feel free to ask.
P.s. Drawing was still drying and hasn't been flattened out yet so it's a bit squint lol. That's my antique writing desk its sitting on.

How could I have missed this one?
You've really put in alot of time and effort into this, the colouring must have taken ages! I gotta say, the flowers look very realistic, and so does the books.
I've only watched a few studio Ghibli films, but they sure do put in alot of effort into their designs and backgrounds. The music is often pretty sweet aswell.

God this one was a nightmare, the amount of layers ugh. I kind of wished I'd never started it about halfway through. Books are surprisingly easy, it's just a case of a few shades and some lines, in their case less is actually better and they look more realistic than if you drew hundreds of pages.
Ohh the music is the best. Howl's Castle and Spirited Away are the best I think.

Oh, I bet it was quite a crazy trip to finish this one, haha. I agree on the books though, it's quite simple to make realistic books without overdoing it.
I don't actually have any favorites there, I like the majority of the soundtracks. I haven't watched alot of them though.

Lots of art works like that actually, less is often more. Clouds are the best because all you need is to dab some pastels with cotton wool.
They do make very beautiful music. I haven't seen all of them, I prefer the fantasy ones to the realistic ones with Ghibli.

Indeed, but it's still quite a hard skill to master. Making it simple, yet in an effective way. Oh, that's really neat! I didn't know you used that technique!
