Description
I love this new scanner.Hoooookay! This is 's spiffy design sketch for Elita-One as she might appear in Transformers: Prime. (And she let me color it!
She later inked and colored it herself -- you should go check it out in her gallery of awesome.
But as for my version... Girls tend to shade to blue in TFP. I had to fight some very strong forces of mental suggestion in order not to make her entirely lavender. I'm still a bit conflicted about changing her color scheme. After all, it's cheating to say, "I don't like pink; therefore I will change colorz!" But I just couldn't quite shoehorn her G1 colors into this design or into the TFP universe in general.
So this is what you get. What do you think? It's kinda fun...
(I have a love-hate relationship with those magenta kneecaps.)
I! LOVE! COLORING! SKETCHES!!!!!!!
Also: Look! Fun background shape-thing! Must play around more with that idea...
Thanks, *CommanderCMG !
Base: Prismacolor markers
Juicy skritches: Prismacolor pencils

The Alpha Trion color scheme was a bold move.

Thanks! Heh, I actually didn't think of it as the A3 color scheme until you called it out! It just seemed a more modern take to me at the time. I'll pretend I was smart and did it on purpose, eh? Thanks again.

It looks good on her. And, a great homage to her and Optimus' mentor. So that's a plus.

Her colors remind me both of Twilight Sparkle and Alpha Trion

As it says in my artist notes, I asked Deludedcon/CommanderCMG if I could color her sketch [link] about the second she completed it. Afterwards, she tightened up the artwork and colored it herself -- hers is far superior. I was just grateful to have the chance to work on something of hers. But no, this is not a copy or stolen in any way -- permission asked and granted for everything.

That's a nice blend of colors there! Which colors did you use?

I use prismacolor markers and colored pencils, so I just chose the base colors -- lavender-blue, magenta, and a very light pink -- and then chose dark and light versions of those. When I was done with the markers, I added a few "juicy bits" with the colored pencils, where I thought it needed a bit of zing. I'm horrible, however, at remembering precisely which colors I used. I'd have to look at my color chart for that.

Ah, the colors pencils are what makes it pop after coloring and shading. Nice touch.
I need to get more Prismacolors and Copics. Lavender-blue is a great idea for bases. Thanks!

Excellent work on coloring Deludedcon's pic! I definitely like this paint job over her original version, I mean, I liked her old G1 self, but if she's to be taken seriously in any future appearances she definitely needs a different coloration (while at the same time still be recognizable as Elita)

i luuuuuuuv it. it looks like she just landed after leaping from her ship, dust swirling around her just as she is about to kick some decepti-ass. Very detailed and i love the color choice. what more can i say? it's pretty damn good. Oh how you tease me with her pose

I LOVE THIS!
The colors are fantastic. The lavender makes her look tougher and sleeker than all-pink, but the magenta accents pay homage to her G1 self nd add a touch of feminity. This is gorgeous work, and I love her design.

There is a human word for such epic colouring, the pronounciation varies according to local dialect but the spelling is the same... DHUFSHUDFDSGFSOPIOP!!
And don't worry about using your Teh Primeβ’ powarz to change colours - where's the point in having such a high rank if you don't use it every once in a while? But seriously, somehow blue just seems to suit her better than pink, which is why I Very Greatly And Muchly Approve of this awesome blue / lilac / pink combo

Not bad. Personally, I'd have used hot pink (or magenta) and silver with red detailing. OVer all though, it looks good.

I really like how you colored her up, and guh MARKERS! Very awesome! And i'm not a big 'pink' fan either so i'd have to resist changing to much myself. Though, look what they did to Arcee...though you did mention that, LOL.
I very much like the shading done on her, especially around her legs and arms. I tip my proverbial hat at the power of ze markers!
