Jeff, do you know how much I love you? I think not.This is a portrait which *projectjp took of me shooting in Melbourne one afternoon. It was the first day off I had had in 40 days straight and I can't help but feel that, in this photo, Jeff captured me: Susannah. I love modeling. I love feeling glamourous and being able to use my body to be creative and help someone make art but I always feel that someone is going to find me out and point out 'hey, that's Susannah! She doesn't look like that.' Well this photo is Susannah, right down to the boots held together with gaffer tape which you can see poking out from under my pants. This is Susannah after 40 days of theatre (my mother says I am 'the poster-child for the 7 day working week'
shooting with friends and being mighty happy and the filthy hippy that she normally is, wearing her coat with trans-dimensional pockets, hippy pants, big hair and all.So Jeff, thankyou.
I turn 21 next week.

I don't think I am too late in wishing you a happy birthday, it's not even been two years since you posted this picture.
It quickly became a fav of mine, I can't say how much I like the location, colors and lighting. Outfit is matching the background unusually well for your taste.
I must say that I'd prefer the model's face to be visible but that's just another option, not a flaw.

I can tell when a photo is very 'me' when my mother requests a print of it. This is one such photo. Jeff printed it post-sized for her.

yeah, if we did a photoshoot together (you as fellow-photog - either someone else or a whole city as model), I could easily see myself being slightly distracted by watching the photographer photograph. Why? simply put, you're a character...and I love character over cuteness any day of the week.

(what I forgot to add in my note was that I've enjoyed watching photographers get wrapped up watching their subject or scene.discover things new and interesting by seeing the world through their eyes, as they're exploring it. Fun! You' my friend, would easily make that "interesting to watch work" list. I'd be making Jeff proud...maybe you're mom, too. I suppose it would be easier for just an informal "street scene" session, not a photoshoot - which would save me the trouble of apologizing to the model!)

You wouldn't be the "model," but the other photog. The apology would be to the model watching me photography you photographing her (or him) and not them! (well, at least for that particular moment)

Yep! There is some truly beautiful graff around Melbourne. Where I am sitting is about 3 meters from the graffiti art museum. People are commissioned to paint the walls inside and outside of the gallery and they get re-done every month. I live in a beautiful city.

Watching you work in that alley was fabulous, I think I'm becoming a fan of taking candids... You get this endearingly delighted look on your face when you are shooting, you can see part of the contented happy smile in this one...
