I was originally planning more detail for this one, but it's taken so long already that it's going to be anti-climactic either way I'm sure we can agree that (given all the delays) it's nice it's completed.
Not sure at this point if I'll do Chrysalis' encounter too, but this is the end of this story arc.
A big thanks to all who've favourited and commented, it really helped with getting it all done!

Well, it's not a priority to me at the moment since the story is at least finished, but given the popularity of the comic I'm certainly considering getting them all up to the same standard.

How is Shining the worst? He's a beast who can shield an entire city. Cadence is a jackass who thinks you fix all problems in relationship by casting a spell. Really how is she any different than Chyrsalis?

Much as I love the "Cadence forces shipping for her own enjoyment" view I think they were going for a "Cadence reminds ponies that their love's more important than petty arguments".
Generally I like Cadence less due to the morals of her magic and more her due to her winning over Twilight (the silly dance and that moment mid-song when Twilight realised Cadence was good enough for her brother) plus her adorkableness at the end (dancing with Pinkie/etc).
Shining on the other hand (hoof?) didn't even send notification of his engagement to Twilight. Possibly he was already under a spell at that time but if not then that's pretty lousy! But maybe I'm just biased since I've got a younger sibling and can't imagine doing that to him.
For what it's worth: Before watching the ep I assumed I'd preferred Shining just because Cadence has such an ugly overly pink colour combination.

That is for the them to discover on their own. Using magic to influence their decision is just as evil as Chrysalis. Or even just as evil as the brainwashing of Nightmare Moon. I swear the Alicorns in the show are some f'd up kids.

I view her more as a free marriage counsellor but I suppose that relies on whether or not she CAN fail (if it is just straightforward brainwashing then that's not right)... Either way I favour the "these alicorns are all crazy" theory.

For example: A christian and a satanist can never tolerate one another otherwise there would be no point to their beliefs and it would mean they would cease to be a christian and a satanist.

While it's too early in the mornin on a Saturday to do a complete analysis of how much I love this, considering it's taking me three tries to spell each word in these sentences, but I'll try.
While I'm not too big a fan on the dark-background-with-different-coloured-outlines-to-represent-the-characters types of comics, I rather enjoyed this one, because... well, honestly, I have no clue. I just do. Secondly, this story stays close enough canon that Hasbro could look at it and say "That seems perfect; let's do dat!", which is awesome.
Thirdly, it's quite romantic. I'm a freakin' huge hopeless romantic, and I love these kinds of things. In fact, most of the fics I read on FiMFiction are romantic stories and such.
And lastly, the coloured panels are amazing and extremely close to canon as well.

1) To be honest I wasn't expecting the comic to continue past the first page, which is why I left it in such a basic form. I thought if people liked it I might add colour, but there was more interest in hearing the whole story, so I went with that.
I'd have done more fully coloured pages but I'm fairly new to vectors and colouring non-vector images slows me down immensely. I decided I'd alternate it to make sure this story arc didn't gather dust in my WIP folder. I was hoping people would enjoy it despite the uncoloured images and I'm very glad that so many did.
2) Thank you! That's what I was after. Of course, there's now a strong chance season 3 will start off by rendering it false, but I'm glad I had my say before that happened.
3) I wouldn't normally call myself a romantic but I suppose Ponies bring that out in me!
Lastly) I made some alterations from Shining and Cadence's show look but I tried to keep it close. No one's yet said I strayed too far so that's excellent!
