I was originally planning more detail for this one, but it's taken so long already that it's going to be anti-climactic either way I'm sure we can agree that (given all the delays) it's nice it's completed.
Not sure at this point if I'll do Chrysalis' encounter too, but this is the end of this story arc.
A big thanks to all who've favourited and commented, it really helped with getting it all done!

Anyway, enjoyed the fact they both brought out a ring. I've long grown tired of this men have to do everything crap. Not that I'm a woman who wants to stand up for herself... Nope, just a really shy dude that doesn't want to get out of his comfort zone. Hoorray for my lack of drive to do anything with my life! Oh well!

I agree on the "Women: Stop being so passive!" thing though, it's far too normalised a perception! As such I was very happy when Hearts & Hooves Day had the CMC agreeing that Cheerilee would ask Big Mac out if she liked him.
Besides, I personally lack the patience to wait for guys I like to ask me out.

Lol, don't know how you do that... I have to think, for... A long time before I decide I like someone. And then I won't do anything until I know they like me. Even then I probably won't do anything until I'm SURE both I, and she, like each other and won't destroy any other relationships by being together. I'm in that predicament right now actually. I don't want to weird out my friend and he's made it clear it would be awkward for him if we did start dating. And I'm not just going to disregard what he thinks, he's my friend and I enjoy his personality and company. I wouldn't trade our friendship for anything.

Twilight's always a bit sueish, but she's the Main Character. She's allowed to be completely right once in a while, because we already know her flaws. Cadance doesn't get that allowance.

In what way? She's hardly a self-insert, she didn't dominate the story, and she certainly isn't over-powered. She's just a cute side-character, not a Mary Sue.

The core problem of a Mary Sue is the lack of flaws. Cadance has no flaws. That's the issue. ^_^

I don't think it's so much a lack of flaws as a lack of development. The real Cadence hasn't had much screen time yet, if you think about it. It looks like she'll be getting some more in S3 though, so I guess we'll see what happens with that.

Well, we already have the main character ranting about how awesome Cadance is at the very start. Then, at the end, she's getting along perfectly with all of the Mane Six--even bouncing with Pinkie Pie, which...just didn't sit well with me. Nopony can be as silly as Pinkie Pie. Nopony can even try to be as silly as Pinkie Pie.
(Anyway, yeah, we'll see.
