I think the British police are probably the best in the world, and I'm happy to sing their praises, but we only got here through high standards enforced by repeated reforms, and the last major reform was 36 years ago (PACE Act 1984), so we're overdue for another.

Also, I hate all the entrenched racism in the UK. People have been raising concerns about the UK's public tributes to slavers/etc for years with nothing getting done, which is ridiculous. It's high time we put our history in the museums and have public praise be for the many things that we're proud of now!

I was looking forward to the general nice-thoughts of Pride Month, but it is about time we had this stuff get sorted, so it's Black Lives Matter time, too.
