Hey all, its been a very long time since my last upload, I'm around here on DA, but like a ninja.Anyway, I want to become the active member I used to be, so get ready for more stuff in the near future.
Ontopic, what you see here is the design for a golf game. I was responsible for the entire game, so even the Flash part. The best feature about it is the realistic movement of the ball. As you can see the grounds color can be light but also dark, as the ball rolls it tends to go to the darker areas. There is also a build in record system and some other features.

Very nice, the only thing I would add is a mini map of the start to the hole. I found sometimes the whole was completely. off the viewable area. I'd hit the ball in the direction the arrow as pointing but a water area or sand trap would be just a little bit off the viewable area in the direction. With a mini map, I'd be able to see that and know even though the arrow is pointing up to the hole, I need to go left or right before going up to avoid any unseen hazards.

Thanks, I'm currently creating a race game in the same setup as the golf game, so a perlin noise field with the feeling of heaving depth in the level so you'll drive up and down and the car seems will tend to steer to the darker places on the map. I only have two problems, I can't get the car to drive as realistically as I want it to drive. My previous race game ([link] ) has a good driving algorithm, so I think I'm going to build from there.
And I'm not sure about how I'll make the AI if I do. I found a couple of ideas here: [link] . So I'm "simply" going to try a few I guess
About the style, its in the style of the website itself, I did made the design, but not the style
And its Dutch, but it looks like German

As for AI hmm hmm it probably could be fun to use combination of some stuff people were speaking about there. Some collision detection and avoidance when detected has bigger priority then driving fast + way points on a track forming a line by which cars try to drive + using genetic algorithms on such way points to pick out best ones. Storing multiple of them so that when because of collisional or other desyncs car gets out of line it followed too much it could pick different route. It could be fun and interesting to play with such idea

Regarding the birds, I (and most people) find them really relaxing. Maybe a a mute button was handy

Well, I don't know why, but somehow your comment made me think. How about if the ball is a car, that would be interesting I think I'm definitely keeping that in mind as a new game idea

hehe yeah and you can move the car with arrows, put a map and users can compete each other, you can make a new gta2!

But a multiplayer version will be hard. Maybe a replay multiplayer so you compete against replay ghosts, but I'm not sure if that is possible.

Haha, well, I'm not so great with more advanced physics.
And I can't submit it to such sites because I don't own the game anymore, its property of the client now.

Trials is basically 2d, only the environment is 3d, right?
