Description
A tutorial on how to create gradients in SAI.Tutorial text ONLY:
-Zoom in 1600%
-Use the BINARY or LEGACY PEN tool to create a pattern. For linear gradients, just make a row or column of boxes a few pixels wide.
-Press CTRL+T to transform the boxes.
-Scale the row of pixels up. Zoom out as you go to make things easier.
-A WINNER IS YOU!

I like using the blur tool better. It feels like I have more control

Snap, this is trippy.
Thanks for sharring this!
Shame that Sai does not have a gradient tool.

No kidding. I'd love a real shape gradient tool too.
The best I've seen so far is Paint.net's Gradient tool.

Microsoft's Paint has a Gradient Tool? NO WAY, LOL.

hmm interesting way...
i usually use different airbrushes and then blur - colors, sizes and shapes give many variates of gradient

I agree, though the star-type shapes are a bit easier with this method.

I wouldn't say it's the best gradient around, but it's SAI and they don't have a gradient option.
Nice find

I'm just exploiting SAI's bicubic algorithm for scaling pixel graphics. This cheat will work on any program if you have upscaling set to anything but Nearest Neighbor. ^^

..I think I understand what you said .__.
But yeah, it probably would.

I tested it in paint.net, I made a 2 x 1 pixel canvas then I scaled it up using bicubic. Bingo!

It's more of an exploit or cheat than a feature. ^^
