Description
by placing a temp black background i can pull out the parts that need fixingand as for that 'thing' they have in common. it's food. they both love food that is sweet and or spicy. from jams to peppers, and from cakes to sauces, sweet and spicy is what they found in common and how Nell was finally able to reach Gerrard as a person to a person and not a monster.
once he could see her as a person, Gerrard found that he could see her as a woman not unlike the women he had pursued earlier in his life. the fact that she looked different was no longer a vile thing like human society demanded he think and he could see that she is in fact quite beautiful.
i do see a bit of irony though in the use of food, at least in my experience with the portrayal of Naga

Also known as a Claude glass, which is a good idea. Thanks for letting me in on that. I had contemplated getting a mirror after you pointed it out, but since I prefer A3 paper it would have been a bit ungainly.

I suddenly had this idea for a rubix cube for reptiles, but instead of colors, the tiles were different temperatures (magic) because heat is said to be more important in their visual cortex than reflected light.

The naga's chest looks flat, for a female. Don't know if that's intentional, but how will a human know the difference if they all look alike?
On another note, what if you did a page that showed the years after. Like after they fell in love, lived together, did some stuff in bed together? Would they have children? Would he be playing with little nagas?

i have only drawn 2 naga, Hashtha and Nell and they are as different as can be. i tend not to draw really big brasts out of habit.
and i have not decided whether this will be a tragedy story or not, they would only get to have kids if it is a happy ending
