Awww yeah. The one prompt I was actually hyped for! I bet you guys were too, if you looked at the list. Bet you thought I was gonna draw Gavin, right? Well, I decided to draw his dad instead. So yeah, it's Saint George famously slaying a dragon. I like the way it looks, particularly the red ink. The marker I used came from the dollar store, so I didn't expect much. But it worked pretty well.Now it's story time!! Grab your pillows- ah, wait. Grab your coffee, because this one's actually interesting.
Saint George was riding on his horse one day, when he happened to hear people shouting loudly. He searched for the source of the noise, and found a village.
George: What's going on here?
Villager: It's terrible! This dragon has been terrorizing our village for months. At first, he wanted our farm animals as a sacrifice. But we ran out of animals, so we had to resort to giving him people instead.
George: By the might of Mars! You fed him your fellow man?!
Villager: We had no choice! If we didn't give him a sacrifice, then he would kill us all.
George: I see...
Villager: We chose the person to be sacrificed by a lottery. But today's sacrifice is the most dreadful of them all!
George: How so?
Villager: The king's daughter has been chosen to be eaten! Oh, what a sad day for the country!
George: The king's daughter, you say? Well, that dragon won't be eating anyone else if I have anything to say about it.
(George goes through the crowd of people and finds the dragon, who is about to eat the princess.)
George: Halt, dragon! Lay your hands off of the princess!
Dragon: Ha! Has a mere mortal come to challenge me? Foolish human.
George: I may be human, but I am by no means foolish. Fight me, and if you win, you can eat me instead.
Dragon: I think not. Human men always have such tough skin compared to females. Plus, that armor would give me a stomachache.
George: You think I care if you want to do battle or not? There's no choice to be had; we will fight!
Dragon: You humans are all so stubborn... fine. I will enjoy tearing you apart, and then having the princess for dessert!
George: Heh. We'll see.
Stand back, my lady. It wouldn't do for you to be caught in our struggle.
Princess Ellen: Oh! Thank you!
George and the dragon fight, and after a long and intense battle, George comes out as the victor. Hence, this picture. What happens after that? Well, he and Princess Ellen get married and have Gavin. Yeah, nice and to the point.
If you wondered why Gavin is so focused on slaying dragons, this is the reason why.

Boy meets dragon. Boy slays dragon. Boy THEN meets girl. They get married. I love it hehe. The dialogue, as always, is one of my fave parts about this piece. Ellen is such a cutie. Father and son look so alike

That’s a really good lore!! So Gavin is of royal blood? That’s awesome! I thought he’s just an ordinary knight, why did he even become a knight when he should’ve been king? I guess that’s not his calling.

Thanks! Glad you liked it, and even read it. Aha, the reason why the lore was good this time is because I borrowed it from an established legend. But I changed it slightly, so now it's something completely different. Great artists steal, after all
Yeah, Gavin is technically a prince! But he wanted to have his own journey of knighthood like his father, so that's what he trained to do. He didn't want it to be easy either, so he didn't take that much money with him when he left. Hence why his armor is pretty shoddy, it was all he could afford lol. He pretty much lives off of doing quests for money. But now he's in a party with Joe and the others, so he doesn't have to worry about it as much.
