I really, really, really love the painting "Dante and Virgil" by William Adolphe Bouguereau. It made me read Dante's Inferno! That was a while ago, but I was inspired to draw something for it. Had to exercise my artist's muscles a bit after that mock popular artist drawing. I really can't believe some people draw like that all the time, I could feel myself losing braincells from the lack of artistic stimulation. Smh! So I'm back to perspective and lighting again. I think the atmospheric perspective came out pretty good! And there's a foreground, middle, and background too. I hope there's a nice sense of depth here. And I tried to improve my color choices as well for staging. I intended for the viewer to look at Dante's face first, then Virgil, then the dude in the front. There's a lot of thinking that goes into art, as you can see!

Here Dante and Virgil are in the second circle of hell, where the thots live, and there's a constant gust of wind and rain blowing them around. Yeah it's a dude in the picture, men can be thots too. You never expect it! Anyway, you might be wondering, "Gee Hax, another one of these violent images?" Well, you try working in the same place as someone you hate and not doing the same. Hey, at least I'm getting some interesting art out of it!

The tortured people's designs looking similar is a complete coincidence. I've drawn that particular one thousands of times so it's just muscle memory at this point.
